Hive Power Up Month Challenge - Winners List
The second edition of the Hive Power Up Month challenge is now over.
Once again, this challenge has proven how difficult it is to stay committed for a whole month, even with rules as simple as:
- a power-up or 100% power-up post every day of the month
- no power down
To sell or to Power Up?
As you can see in the following graph, we have lost a lot of participants along the way, including the very last few days.
Some made the mistake of not posting or powering up at the right time. Some have published but forgot to activate the 100% HP option. Others simply forgot to participate for a day. And each time the sanction was final: "Sorry, see you next time!"
It must also be admitted that, with the rise in the price of HIVE, the temptation has been great in recent days to sell rather than power up.
This means that for those who have managed to hold on to the end, the badge they will receive will be even more valuable.
Special mention
We would like to give a special mention to @justclickindiva. She missed the PUM badge by two days. That was really close. Hopefully you will finally get the badge next time.
Kudos to those who, while no longer eligible for the PUM badge, told us that they would continue to participate every day until the end, just for fun or to keep the good habit of staying engaged. You're amazing!
And now, the winners list
They are 28 participants to have held out with perfect regularity.
Among them, 15 chose the publication with a 100% HP payout option. The 13 others preferred the power-up way. Some even did both for safety ;)

New Power Up Challenges next year!
As always, we were asked if there would be a Power Up Month challenge in December as well.
Once again, we will skip the month as we did after the previous edition.
Several reasons for this:
- December is a festive month and we are going to organize other challenges.
- The rules and conditions for Power Up Day and Power Up Month are going to be changed and we want to be able to notify everyone in good time so as not to catch you off guard.
Therefore, see you in January 2022 for the new Power Up Challenges.
Prepare yourself! 2022 will kick off in high gear!
You can still participate to get your Power Up Day and Power Up Helper badges.
This is a special edition where you can win a one-month delegation of 50,000 Hive Power!

I try not to miss a power up day as I like the badges :) I will add more at the start of next year in hope of another milestone. It's just a bit expensive to actually buy $HIVE, but I can use what I get from some of the games.

I was just devastated to learn that I missed two days.

Hello. You're right. But it felt the same to me, especially after realizing a few days ago the system said I missed 2 days. I was so puzzled, but more hurt because I was keeping close tabs on it. I think I fell apart when I saw it and just went into two-minute cursing spree. After that tirade, I calmed down and resumed whatever it was I was doing. :)

No, delegation is different from a powerdown. You still own your HP and the timings are very different.
The blockchain is scheduling agnostic. So we are.
The only thing that matters is when the post is added to the blockchain.

Would be nice to share either a service or a way for people to automate powring up automatically.
I have tried influencing HIVE Keychain, on that... but I think there are way more options around.
Otherwise... I will just share the technical way to do it on @atexoras...
PS... the badge is for 31 days...but some months only have 30 =) Some even 28... or 29. Does not help... I know. Science should make universal time rotation so we all have the same clock. No more timezones please!!! we are on the same planet!!!

No, the badge is for the month, and a month is usually represented as "31 days".
It would be cumbersome to manage a different badge for each exception 😅

Haha, i'm not scared =) just think they are pretty basic and fair as is. Theres certainly no need to make it watered down when the only real appeal to it is the challenge to stay on it. The endless mentality now in days that everyone deserves everything regardless of effort now in days just gets worse and worse.
But one way to change it that wouldn't take anything rm anyone and would make it more functional overall would be to (level it) kinda like the bee for power up day. So level 5 being all days of that month, level 4 being (all days in month -1) .... down to level 1 (all days in month - 4). -5 and beyond imo didn't care to try and can try again next month
Anyhow sorry for the rant but at least its a functional rant that comes with a suggestion lol
