Happy Hive birthday man. I think I'll be 5 years old too on May (taking into account that my first account was @flaws).

Despite having been on the chain for about the same amount of time, it's quite curious that several things I've done here are totally different from yours. Hive is a small place, but quite big at the same time.

To this day I've focused on different things to accomplish, lately I'm still trying to be an active content creator, but reaching that goal of feeling totally rewarded for the time you put in is much more complex than someone may think. When you were trying to be a content creator, what were you aiming for? Did you just dedicate all your time to create something of quality or did you try to share with more content creators? Didn't you feel lost at times?

Currently as a content creator I'm not doing well, so I'd like to hear from the voice of experience :)

Thanks!

At first, I really wanted to focus on gaming-related content. But, that made the games I play feel so much less enjoyable.

It took some time before I found topics I like to write about.

As for reach, rewards, etc., my involvement with anti-abuse in the past helped with networking. So, mingling with others or participating in projects do expand your network.

Even today, I probably wouldn't dare call myself a "content creator". I'm a hobby writer.

Coincidentally 90% of my content is about gaming, and it's totally the opposite, I enjoy games even more for being able to tell my experience xd.

I spent some time on the anti-abuse thing, but I feel it's much more time-consuming and it also wore me out mentally by doing it in a global way. Maybe I should start doing it again at least for hobby idk.

I guess being a "hobby writer" is the key to success after all :)

Yeah, I find doing it as a hobby much more relaxing.

If I'm all about the money, I'll just go work several overtime hours and use that capital to buy assets.

Antiabuse is really only viable if you have a decentralized framework within your own communities (or a lot of central funding from proposals). Trying to bite off more than you can chew is not fun.
