It's my first time participating in the #ladiesofhive contest and I will be answering this question which I find very interesting and a sweet memory to fantasize on

The holidays are all about tradition. What is your most cherished family holiday tradition? Tell us about it, how it came to be and why it's special to you.

The kind of love that exist among us, the tolerance, the care, the support, the truthfulness and the corrective measures is what brings about family.
Family togetherness is important and every Christmas is always an opportunity to reunite together, show love, care, support, give advice to one another, give corrective measures in all wrong doing and have fun. One thing I love most about my family is the zeal to help each other grow.

My parent has always made it a tradition that we all must come around and be available during the festive period as this is the only opportunity whereby they can get to see everyone of us and we all get to spend quality time together as one big lovely, amazing and unite family that we are, as my family is a big one, not that we do not get to communicate often but that special feelings and emotions of everyone coming together in physical to do a whole lot together is a big deal to everyone of us as it also rekindle the bond among us.

We get to hangout together, we play series of games, go into singing, dancing and cooking competition as though we are in a contest, we give advice to one another on any heart disturbing issues, we gist about the old good days and we all get engage in the house chores. That moment whereby the male will get to loose and plait hair for the ladies and their wives, hardly will you see us getting anything from the outside as my mum groomed us all to be good and perfect in most of her hand works which has now become a generating income for most of us.

We do not allow the fun and social activities take away our seriousness, we get serious when it's right and appropriate for us to do so because we do not leave our work, business plans and plans for the new year ahead untouched as this will help us in attaining and achieving greater heights so we get to discuss about our prospects and how we can work towards achieving greatness as this has always been our goal, passion and zeal.

Because my parent will always tell us something, if you do not come from a rich family, let a rich family come through you so this has always been the key to our motivations and we have been working hard legitimately in attaining success hence the reason behind everyone busy schedule so we see this Christmas period as a rare opportunity which must not be missed nor forgo for any reason.

So we get to plan it as though we are hosting a ceremony, we get fabrics most time just so we all can be in uniform and make it a worthwhile memory to fantasize on till the next coming Christmas festive.

There is never a dull nor boring moment with us as the family is always full of happiness, joy and gladness, we do not let our challenges get the best of us. we get to invite our friends over and host a party feast in celebration of the Christmas and togetherness.

Years back, it was a tradition back then that we get to celebrate Christmas in the village but now we get to celebrate at home with my parent, nearby families, close neighbors and friends.

Back then when we travel to the village, Irra which is in Oyun local government in Kwara State, Nigeria to visit my grandparent and then my aged radiant great grand mother, it's always fun tasting her food made with a local recipe from a local pot, there's this sweet feelings and delicious sensation that comes with the meal.

We get to visit my uncle who happens to be the king as we are from a royal family and the kind of hostage, love, care and royalty honor that was always given to us is one sweet feeling.

We get to talk a stroll around the community to say the changes and development that has happened over time. One of the pleasant memories was our visit to the stream, where everything seems so cool and natural, nature is one of the best things that has happened.

One activity I can never forget is the local night feast that always happened on the Christmas night at the palace, where villagers come together to wine and dine in love and unity, so many activities will be performed like wrestle competition, traditional dancing and singing competition, stage drama, and then we get to hear the story and history of my village (Irra). It would be an all night feast full of interesting and mind blowing activities.

Christmas has always been one special, loving and important festive which brings about love, togetherness and bond rekindling in my family, which is why am looking forward to this coming Christmas.
