Hola amores mi nombre es Alicia y tengo 50 años y 49 navidades y ya cerca de vivir la navidad numero 50 en mi vida, de echo acabo de cumplir 50 años el día de ayer 03/12 y es un gusto para mi participar en una comunidad de chicas.

Soy Venezolana, del estado Lara y como muchas familias venezolanas coincidimos tenemos la tradición familiar de comer hallacas en navidad, la típica hallaca u, platillo tradicional de nuestro pías que consta de un bollo relleno de guiso envuelta en hojas de plátano, la cual podemos acompañar
con pernil, una ensalada de gallina y un trozo de pan de jamón.
En mi familia y desde hace mucho tiempo, es puntual para nosotros y el compartir como familia este delicioso platillo cada navidad.
I am Venezuelan, from the state of Lara and like many Venezuelan families we agree, we have the family tradition of eating Hallacas at Christmas, the typical Hallaca u, a traditional dish of our pías that consists of a bun stuffed with stew wrapped in banana leaves, which we can accompany
with leg, a chicken salad and a piece of ham bread.
In my family and for a long time, it is punctual for us and as a family to share this delicious dish every Christmas.
Es un plato tradicional, lleno de amor y con mucho sabor. No puede faltar en nuestra mesa. Y es muy especial para mí, porque esa hallaca la hace mi mama, ¡ah y le quedan divinas!
It is a traditional dish, full of love and with a lot of flavor. It cannot be missing from our table. And it is very special for me, because my mother makes that straw, oh and they look divine!
La otra parte de nuestra tradición familiar es sentarnos en familia para disfrutar de las cuñas navideñas que la televisión publica que cada año nos brindan nuestros canales favoritos. Aunque actualmente ya no es como antes, pero siempre a formado parte de nuestra tradición, les dejare un par de videos de las cuñas navideñas.

Y por supuesto no podía faltar el cantar Gaitas para celebrar cada navidad, la Gaita Zuliana como bien dice su nombre viene del Estado Zulia y cada diciembre nos deleitamos con los clásicos decembrinos para dar la bienvenida a la época navideña y la despedida al año viejo.
And of course, the singing of Gaitas could not be missed to celebrate every Christmas, the Zuliana Bagpipe, as its name says, comes from the Zulia State and every December we delight ourselves with the December classics to welcome the Christmas season and say goodbye to the old year.
Mi adorno más preciado es la guirnalda. La historia detrás de él, es: Que me trae recuerdos d cuando yo, vendía productos de AVON. Dure varios años, hasta que me retire. Me fue bien con las ventas y con los incentivos que eran premios que recibíamos entre ello “La Guirnalda”. Y para que resalte más, le coloque en el centro una estrella con el dibujo de San Nicolás (Santa Claus) que no podía faltar.
Y bueno eso es todo lo que tengo por contar, gracias por leerme y felices fiestas decembrinas para todas.
My most precious ornament is the garland. The story behind it is: It brings back memories when I was selling AVON products. It lasted for several years, until I retire. I did well with sales and with the incentives that were prizes that we received among them “La Garland”. And to make it stand out more, place a star in the center with the drawing of Saint Nicholas (Santa Claus) that you could not miss.
