Night Run
I just finished a 5.853km running that lasted about 0hh:28mm:6ss !
Even though my hiking plans fell through on Sunday, I still spent as much time as possible outdoors with the dogs enjoying this great sunny day. After that I got lazy and I hesitated way too much before finally starting a run when it was almost 10pm. That's why I decided on a short run, that I was hoping to finish faster. Hence the fast start, with no warm up whatsoever as usual. That may have been okay if after about half a mile I hadn't found a long stretch with ankle deep snow. I really wasn't expecting it, as it was quite a warm day and I figured it would be mostly melted at this location. Not only did it slow me down a lot, but it also took a toll on my energy. It took me quite some time to recover a bit, and by that time I hit the second snow covered segment. At least, for this one, I wasn't surprised, as it was the path seen on the cover picture from the afternoon. I knew it wouldn't be all melted. So, anyways. not the best pace for this short distance, but it's okay, we'll see how it goes in a few weeks on dry terrain.
That brings my total for February to 60km. So if I want to reach at least 100km (that would still be way below the 120km I hope to reach every month), I still need 40km in just a week. Doable, but with my current motivation and the weather conditions, that's not a sure thing.
Till then, keep Exhausting!
