Back in snow - Evening Run

I just finished a 5.436km running that lasted about 0hh:27mm:36ss !

As usual, our weather keeps changing, but yesterday was a great cold winter day, very sunny and with plenty of snow from the day before (cover picture taken in the afternoon). Enough to cover all the neighborhood streets and pathways, which means I can wear my shoes with spikes again. Of course, I once again waited too long and went running only at night. The air was still crisp and I had a great view of the almost full Moon.

But the run was really tough! I believe my natural stride is already not the most efficient, but in snow it feels like I'm wasting so much energy. It may not be as bad as running in mud like some people describe sometimes here, but it's still very hard work for me. Plus it was my first run after almost an entire week without running (the weather and most importantly my laziness were responsible for this break). So, even if I had planned to run about 5 miles, I stopped after barely 3 miles and the pace isn't great. But like I said, good effort, and I guess good for training.

I have an easy hike planned for Sunday, so I'm hoping I can run again tonight, but we will see how it goes.
Till then, keep Exhausting!
