A little thing called parkrun

Saturday = parkrunday. The habit of going to one of these free, weekly, timed community events is now so engrained that on the rare occasion I don't feel like going I go anyway.

We visited the same location as last week, mostly because my partner Brad liked the idea of repeating the same course several weeks in a row so he could "learn the course" and see how much he could improve week on week. That was fine with me. I so often get my own way, so it's nice to hear what he wants for a change and let him choose.

Also, we're all set to visit my family down south soon, so we'll be visiting a bunch of different parkruns soon enough. Maybe we'll come back to this local one again after we come home.

We both felt better than last week. We both ran our own parkrun (as we usually do). We both ran faster than last week. Though I still think I overdid it, I felt pretty average when I got home. So we took it easy for the rest of the day. Well, as easy as we could given the things that still needed to be done.

And there's my parkrun result. Not too shabby considering I was feeling a little shabby. On the plus side I got yet another pb (personal best) for that course. I'll take it! (Photo is a screenshot from the parkrun results page for that event).
