Bugs, horses and a little more rain...

avatar

We did it again; we snuck in a walk between rain showers. Yay! When we manage this I feel a combination of clever and lucky (and occasionally silly when we do get a little spat on :P).

Today we saw cool things, as we always do when we walk in our chunk of bush. Today's things were this bright coloured bug... (I seem to have a knack for spotting tiny critters!)

image

And the horse shoe prints... (Brad spotted these... and I suggested we contrast them with our shoes - definitely not as cool as horse prints!)

image

And I spotted a watch :P Well, I spot that one every morning when I wake up and it on my wrist :P But I needed it here as proof I left the house and did something interesting other than more screen time, right?

I just finished a 4.07km walking that lasted about 0hh:55mm:55ss !

Hehehe. That's a cool thing for self consolation, isn't it? When we want to ensure ourselves that we are doing something other than being on screen 😀

I love to take snapshots almost everywhere I go and I spot something worth taking.
I like the fact that you tried contrasting your feet with that of the horse. Its by every means different
By the way, @consciouscat , do you take the walk everyday? Cos I saw that you posted yesterday too.

My partner, @new.things, is like this too. Almost always my Exhaust photos are his. But half the time I spot the cool thing and then he photographs it. 📸

I like the fact that you tried contrasting your feet with that of the horse.

Thanks 🙏 That one was my idea 😉😃

do you take the walk everyday?

Most days, yes. We're very lucky in that we live really close to a beautiful nature reserve so we can choose to go for a walk in the bush (/forest) pretty much every single day. We don't always go if it's pouring rain. ⛈️ And when my partner had Covid-19 we weren't allowed to leave the edge of our property. 😣😶😑😐🤨 But 99% of the time, yes, we go for a walk in the bush, or a run somewhere else beautiful @temibot.

How about you? Do you do exercise every day? 🏃‍♀️🏋️‍♂️🏊‍♀️

(Edited)

I guess I'd continue as I usually used my friends' phone to take pictures for the time being. Although I do feel restricted cos I have no good phone camera myself.

Its good you take the walk (almost) everyday @consciouscat and that area,I could see, would have less pollution and fresh air.

How about you? Do you do exercise every day? 🏃‍♀️🏋️‍♂️🏊‍♀️

I won't say everday but I do push-ups almost everyday. Oh my! I have never thought about blogging about it at all 🤔. Thanks for bringing this up, ma'am.😁

Oh, you're welcome! You definitely could (blog about this). I might be a challenge to come up with something about the pushups every day. But you could talk about how hard it felt (or easy), or if you're challenging yourself to do more every day, talk about your progress.

When I haven't taken my phone somewhere, or if I'm running and don't feel like stopping to take a photo then I just use one of the royalty free photo websites to find something that looks and feels similar to what I saw when I was out. Do you know how to do this (to use royalty free photos and then give credit to the photographer)?

That's true, ma'am.

I don't think so. How do I go about it? Are they like the free photos online?

@temibot, I'll explain by sharing a direct quote from the Ladies of Hive community. (Don't join that community, it's just for ladies, but I want to give them credit for their great explanation of how to do this!)

~ Important Message ~
We want everyone in the LadiesOfHive community to succeed! We have seen some members, however, failing to properly cite the sources for images used in posts. This can cause trouble for your accounts, our community, and the Hive blockchain as a whole. Please review the following information and ask if there are any questions!

You can use any image PROVIDED THAT it is not copyrighted, and is free-for-use in a post. Your entry will be disqualified if you use a copyrighted image or a watermarked image. Plenty of free-to-use images can be found on these sites:

https://KaboomPics.com
https://LifeOfPix.com
https://Pexels.com
https://Pixabay.com
https://Unsplash.com

Even using images from sites such as these, though, it is a good idea to cite that the image is "free-for-use from Pixabay," or perhaps even give credit to the photographer (even though the site may say no such credit is necessary). Giving credit for the image will help to keep your account spotless and will help the photographer with more traffic to their page! If you took the photos, it's a good idea to say: "Photos by me" somewhere in your post!

At the bottom of every LadiesOfHive contest is credit to the photo that appears at the top:
~ photo at top of this post by Andrea Ferrario on Unsplash.com ~
Anyone can create such a clickable link in Markdown like this:

SOURCE
Please do not use images from Google, Pinterest, Flickr, etc., as those are not free-for-use! Please do not use images with a 'watermark' across them, as those are not free-for-use, either! Let's be a shining example to the rest of the blockchain in how to do things correctly! THANK YOU!

Source for this quote explaining how to do photos

While this explanation (above) is for those ladies entering contests inside this community, the process you need to do here on Hive and on EXHAUST and on any other front end interface is the same.

So have a look at the links they've offered. Look at how they did the crediting of the photographer and then give it a go on your next post. If you like, you can tag me and I'll see how you went. I can correct you if you miss anything important.
