Bush, rocks and negative test results

It rained on and off all day today. I didn't know if we'd get a walk in.

Somehow we spotted a break in the rain showers on the Bureau of Meteorology app, and so we took it. We got to stroll through our beloved bush, though we did get a light shower or two while we were in there.

The best bit is that on the way into the bush we passed a neighbours house with a rather large collection of painted rocks out the front. The biggest one said: "Take a rock. Return a rock."

I recall them doing something similar in the early days of the pandemic. At that point I was still far more serious and thought I was too busy to play. Now I get that play is essential to stay healthy, even as a "mature" adult.

So I picked the one with the message I most needed to see every day...

This isn't about listening to others; I'm pretty good at that. It's about listening to myself, my own innate wisdom, the signals my body is giving me, the truth my heart knows but I've been too scared act upon. This is the reminder I needed to listen to myself.

And good news (for those who have been following along): despite feeling totally exhausted yesterday (without having done any exercise to justify it), I woke up this morning feeling better. I did a Rapid Antigen Test and it came back negative. So I'm just continuing the best self care I can and carrying on with life as usual. Whatever that is ;)

I like the stones at your neighbours, it’s great to interact and have a little fun. Play… are you painting a rock to return?

When we have a garden I would like to do something like that. Depending where the next house exactly will be if the rocks can be taken by neighbours otherwise it’s just for us. Our goal is having again a garden this year. ☺️☀️
