Very good points. I wish more was being done for onboarding.
I still remember my first days on the Hive. It was very frustrating.
One of my half a page of scribbled lines was a project I wanted to pitch for assisting with the onboarding of new users. Even got the username ... @welcome.wagon
The idea was to build a bot that would -
- delegate 1 (or more) Hive to every new account for say 1 month or more.
- stalk the new user and post a welcome message on their first post with useful links on how to get started on Hive.
- upvote new user posts for a period of a month or so to help get them started and provide motivation.
Maybe one day I will get to it. !LOLZ

@niallon11, I sent you an $LOLZ on behalf of @captaincryptic
Use the !LOL or !LOLZ command to share a joke and an $LOLZ. (5/10)
Sounds like more of what we need.
I remember the concept from the terminal team i think.
They do a lot but it needs to be instant and automated for us to see it happen properly.
Simple login, free delegation, small upvotes would go a long way to keep new users active.
