Exploring famous White Waterfall in Quang Ngai, Viet Nam

If you invite me to go exploring the waterfall, I am always down for it.
I love cycling and this trip is the longest cycling trip I have joined so far. Now, I will guide you to Quang Ngai, which is famous for "White Waterfall" in Thanh An commune, Minh An district. It was a very exciting and adventurous trip in 7 days.

Here was our trip’s itinerary:

1.Change our plan on the first day
We planned to go from Da Nang to Ninh Binh city. We met up really early morning at 3 am to start our journey. It was very nice cycling to Hai Van Pass. But it was the time Covid 19 spread out all over Viet Nam so we cannot pass through Hue. We did prepare really carefully and put much hope for this trip. We cannot go back then we need to decide what would our next destination be? If we cannot go that way, we should turn around and go another way. Then finally we made the decision that we could go to Quang Ngai to explore. Wherever we go is not matter than we could freely cycle around. It totally changed our plan and an unexpected journey started.

2.Cycle 200km to Quang Ngai province
I was a turtle compared to my group, so slow and always be the last one in a group. They were very patient and waited for me all the time.

Day 1: Hai Van Pass to Quang Nam

We cycled back from Hai Van pass to Quang Nam in the middle of the day, which was very hot. We stayed there one night and we tried delicious Cao Lau in Quang Nam, then gave us a reward for around 50km of cycling by a homemade yummy ice scream. This made us go to "Debate" about what the sound of rooster like in the morning. Vietnamese rooster is like "Ò Ó O O" but my foreign friends really assisted that it had to be like "Kanga roo roo roo". What do you think who will win, my dear friends?

Day 2: Quang Nam to Quang Ngai province

We woke up early each day around 4am to cycle before it was getting to hot in a day. Then of course I was lack of sleep, during our break, i even stood to sleep. Hazzz. It was beautiful sunrise there. We went to an island and i had a great break to take a nap and read book on the hammock near the river. We went through to Tam Thanh Village where many beautiful drawing on the walls of every house. It was a beautiful countryside with full of colors. I took many photos but i lost my phone on the way back Da Nang. We went through many villages, rice fields, mountains, rivers. It was around 100km long, hot and tired sometimes, now when i am writing this, i cannot believe that i did it. We went Quang Ngai in the late afternoon and caught a beautiful sunset there.

3.Explore White Waterfall
The way to get waterfall was not easy and it was around 30km long so we decided to rent a motorbike and drive to there. Along the way, we saw lots of ethnic house of people there. They looked very different and they talked different languages. Their house was very special they built wood house and created a empty basement for their cows,buffalos or pigs living under rather than separating their house and the barn. They planted rice field also unique. It is terraces so green and fresh with houses and small garden along. What a wonderful life! We drove a bit then it was lunch time so we stoped at a local restaurant. We was looking so hard to find "Cafe Vong"- Hammock Cafe then one idea came up with my mind that why don't we buy a hammock and set up for our own. Then we bought hammocks then asked the lady at restaurant to hang them. This made us so exciting. After 2 hours resting, we continued to go to the hopeful destination. It was a little rain but nothing can stop us. We drove around 1 hour then finally we got there. "White Waterfall" is a famous for tourist place so it charged us 60 thousand VND equal around $2.5 for entry. It was designed quite nice to take some photos. We was so excited to see the waterfall because even at the gate, we could hear very clearly the sound of it. That place raised some animals like money and birds as well. Then finally, we were there. It was so big waterfall and fell so hard and strongly. It stole my heart and i was so enjoyable to watch it. It was truly a white waterfall because of its spattering everywhere. It was very worth to come here after a long journey of cycling here.

4.What i learned and continue the journey
I learned how to keep patient and cycle steady. I was not trying to rush and cycle fast then get exhausted. I was slow and steady though my friends had to wait me for along time. I enjoyed every moment and nature. I know how to pack things and what is important to bring on the trip. This was the trip i realize that it is possible for me to go further because before i was thinking i could not go far like this. It built my trust, confidence and valuable experiences. I had more time to talk with my friends and understand them more. And this is a part of my trips in 7 days. I had lots of memorable journey and i will write more in the next post.
