Hello friends, today I’m here with another post from Prague. Today I am in one of the most beautiful parks in Prague, Valdštejnská Zahrada. The park features the Senate, a pond and stunning views. In the pond there are not only birds but also fish. I come across large carp fish.

One of the most important features of this park is the peacocks. The white peacock in front of you is one of the two white peacocks here. It always gathers people around and loves to be the center of attention. In addition to white peacocks there are also peacocks of other colors. You can see them wandering in the shadows as you walk through the park.

On the right there is a greenhouse and further ahead is the Senate. I ventured deeper into the park because there are beautiful arcades where classical music concerts are sometimes held in the summer. Although there isn’t a concert today, I wanted to see how it looks. Also there are always beautiful birds swimming here, with yellowish legs and bright beaks. One of the birds is gray and small, without a tail and it wanders with the peacocks. It is not afraid of people and even scratches itself without paying attention to them. These beautiful birds roam all over the park, most are colorful and there are only two white peacocks, one male and one female.

The fountain in the park is based on the stories of Hercules from Greek mythology. This park is one of my favorite places. Last year we couldn’t come here because the park is closed in winter. Wedding photoshoots are held in the green labyrinths because they yield beautiful results. Tourists throw coins into the fountain to ensure they return to Prague. Sometimes these coins stay here, but from here you get the best view of the park, this beautiful walkway and the arcades.

In front of you stands Bacchus, the god of wine. On the other side you can see the famous statue of Amor, whose arrow hits your heart and makes you fall in love. There is also an interesting character here, Poseidon, with a dog at his feet whose nose is polished. According to a belief, if you rub this nose, the coming years will be lucky. I will rub them all again because we definitely need luck. I hope this year will be lucky for both me and you.

You can sit here and enjoy the summer and when there are concerts, you can enjoy beautiful classical music. The front benches are usually occupied, but you can find a place to sit on the sides. On the right is the Senate. If you haven’t visited this place yet, I highly recommend it. It is right next to the Malostranská metro station on the green line. You must see this park at least once. The arcades have wonderful painted ceilings. To reiterate charity classical music concerts are held here.

The beauty of the ceilings and the amazing acoustics are enchanting. It is a pleasure to be here when it rains because the rain doesn’t affect you. I headed towards the enclosures with owls on the left. The largest owls in the Czech Republic are located here and another attraction of the park is the Wall of Terror, also sometimes called the Stalactite Wall.

There are beautiful enclosures here with interesting inhabitants inside. You can see the owls; there are 11 of them here and it’s usually possible to see 7-8 of them while the others hide. Owls always attract people’s attention, especially the design of this part. Because when people look from Prague Castle, this unusual wall immediately catches their eye. To intrigue them, we always call it the Wall of Terror or Horror Wall, but its real name is Stalactite Wall. The word krabnik means stalactite.

This beauty is man-made, not created by nature. Here, you can see various shapes resembling lions and dogs. Above there are figures that look like fairy tale characters. The other things you see depend on your imagination. The most common fears seen here are spiders and snakes, so sometimes we call this the Wall of Terror because it brings your deepest fears to life.

We have come to the end of our exploration of this magnificent place. As you have seen, every part of it is filled with wonderful beauty: ponds, fish, birds and stunning architecture. To have a good time and take beautiful photos, you should visit this place at least once. Thank you for stopping by!
