Managing Steem-Engine token holdings with different Steem accounts

As we entered into the new form of Steem, a blockchain that will support SMTs & SCOTs, which are niche platforms powered by steem it’s wise to divert tokens into different accounts. It isn’t the best solution at the moment but it is the only solution that we have.

Right now I’m holding a few tokens in my Steem-Engine accounts and most of it are the usual airdrop or gifts from creator. While some doesn’t have a substantial value, there are some tokens that are already showing a good potential in terms of monetary value. And so I believe that it’s important to manage it early on.

At the moment, I’m actively participating to the SteemLeo & Palnet frontends. These are the two frontends that I’m compelled to since I hold a good amount stake in it. These 2 frontends doesn’t sound a lot however, both of them doesn’t necessarily align with each other. Some of the Palnet posts are not applicable to Steemleo which makes it confusing and a waste of Leo voting mana.

So for that case alone, it is advisable to manage the curation by transferring the liquid tokens and stake it to the recipient account. The other way is to stake it to your account and delegate it to your subaccount. Both of these options will work exactly in the end.

I just remembered, I had a bit of issue on the Leo airdrop. Since my Palpower is delegated to another account, I’m unable to receive any Leo tokens on the 1st airdrop. It seems that the airdrop will disregard or will not be able to detect my Palpower when delegated. And then the 2nd airdrop was initiated, I did receive some Leo but the amount is incorrect based on the regular amount of tokens. I reached out to the creator in the Discord channel and my issue was resolved. This is something for you to think about when delegating your staked tokens.

In terms of the voting optimization issue, I do hope that devs will find a way to create a separate voting slider for each of the SCOT. Right now, the Steempeak frontend has managed to display the different SCOT rewards into their interface without even leaving the Steempeak website. I don’t know anything about coding but as a consumer of a product, I think that it is better for anyone to have the full control with regard to the different Scot frontends without creating multiple accounts.

Right now, the case is that our voting mana is a shared resources for Steemit & the other Nitrous instances (Steemleo, Palnet, Weedcash, SCT...etc). If I’m to optimize my curation for these different frontends, the only way for me is to create a separate account for each of them. On the brighter side, since these frontends have a niche theme, I will be able to expand my following since I presume that there will be different types of users for every frontend.

That’s about it. Steem on!

That is an interesting thought to create sub-accounts to maximize voting on the different front ends.

There's no better way to strategize your curation in the different niche frontends.
