Splinterlands Ramblings... and a giveaway inside

Is it just me... or battling in wild league is getting harder and harder? My win rate has been plummeting, and I'm not facing a horde of new cards, so I guess that either I'm loosing my skills, or we're having an influx of new awesome players; or, most likely, we're back to the usual plague: bots.

An ideia while the elephant in the room stays unchecked: how about identifying in game the accounts that are using bots? I know it wouldn't change a thing, but at least could give the players an idea how much of the battles is actually done by human players. I would certainly like to know, because no way in hell I believe I'm losing 10 battles in a row against regular humans - and if a do, at least I'll know for sure how bad do I suck as a player! Just an idea ;)

But this is a season of love and forgiveness, and I've been grumpier these past weeks, so let's forget the f#$%% bots and off to a giveaway! I hope I'll be able to take vacations next week, so the usual giveaway will only be back next year: that means more time to join in! Merry Christmas everyone, and see you on the battlefield (unless you're a bot, in that case, stay away)! ;)

I agree... I honestly don't see too many Rebellion cards kicking around... but I actually wonder if it's getting harder because more of the human players are actually using their cards on land, and so the bots have become a higher percentage of the player base? I have no data to back that up obviously... it's just a thought.

Some people take the numbers difference of the accounts playing Wild versus playing Modern as proof of bots.

As you can see the numbers are wildly different... but I do personally think there is a significant number of people who play in Wild because they don't have a decent modern collection:

Actually this makes a ton of sense, because I only started experience this after land came out! I used to average a tiny bit above 50% win rate, and it's now in the low 40s, so unless I became crappier or a ton of new good player came in, it's strange, to say the least. That battle number difference is insane, I wasn't aware of it. Makes me wonder how much more will the team beat around the bush; having the same problem creating more and more problems and not being agressively adressed is something that baffles me. Soulbound cards, having to pay for energy to play, all stuff that damages the game to any player all because of the same crap... and it lingers. Let's hope 2024 comes full of decent ideas. I hope you have an awesome Christmas, and looking forward to our battles in 2024! I still think there should be an easy way to have a nemesis list! :)) Cheers, mate! !BEER

I would ABSOLUTELY LOVE to know how many times you and I have battled and how many times I've won. That simple statistic could bring me so much joy or horror.

Pretty sure I would be the one in horror :)))

Actually, one of my projects this year is to learn some programming skills and apply it to get information from blokchains. If I can pull that data, you'll be the first to know! ;)

I'm sure you're go great! Once you learn python, I think it'll be much easier to learn another coding language afterwards... but I've heard python is great and you can do so much with it.
