Social Media Challenge: Share your battle! Plus a giveaway

Since this week's theme for Splinterland's Social Media Challenge is a fun one, decided to merge it with my usual giveaway; the theme? Share Your Battle!

And I decided to feature one of my favourite battles this season: Fire Vs Dragon.

Three rulesets for this battle:

Fog of war meant that every card would attack the tank, and the cripple ability would make it harder for the tank to survive for long, especially being heavy hitted. So since it was a high mana match (53), I opted to use a very handy summoner in this ruleset: Jacek, that gives scattershot to every ranged unit, allowing me to target the backline of the other team, and maybe cause some early kills.

Here's my lineup:

• Grum as tank, the void armor gave it more chances to stay alive
• Tinderlock in the second position, the silence ability would reduce magical attack of the other team, can also strike for first position and has high health
• Phoenix in the third position, the blast ability does wonders in scattershot.
• Beetle queen, the healer with the added bonus of a melee buff
• Fire elemental, a good damage dealer with blast and affliction
• Countess Sinash, same as fire elemental and with a speed bonus.

The main problem with scattershot strategies, is that some luck is also needed!

My opponent had a strong lineup, and a dragon with scattershot ability too.

By mid round two, I had already lost my healer, but thanks to the blast ability I manage to take down their triage healer and Brightwing at the same time, negating the resurrect ability. Yet, the battle was firece and outcome still very uncertain at this point.

Countess sinash is out at the the third round, and my phoenix only had 2 health. And then... my Tinderlock gets a bonus I rarely see:

Last Stand Ability kicks in! So although outnumbered, the bonus on attack, speed and health were enough to secure a very very tight win! You can see the entire battle here!

You can see why I enjoyed this battle, right? :) Lady luck hasn't been on my side in this season start, so this win felt great.
