Chant du soir - Denis Bédard | Secrets of Organ Playing Contest Week 26

This is my entry for Week 26 of the Secrets of Organ Playing Competition.

I'm playing "Chant du soir" by Denis Bédard, published by Éditions Cheldar in Sept Offrandes. This is the first piece in the collection. I thank @tormus1958 to exposing me to Bédard's music over the last couple of years. His music is approachable, in the French Romantic style and useful in a variety of musical contexts—recitals and liturgies. Perhaps another goal of mine could be to perform the complete works of Denis Bédard!

This is such a sweet little piece. I can imagine it to be performed on some Cavaille-Coll organ in the dark French Gothic Cathedral... It would be lovely to hear all the works of Bedard. Just like @sapolasa is doing with versets by Lefebure-Welly.

Thank you. @sapolasa will have a lot of versets to record 😅

He has been recording those versets (audio only) for quite some time now and sharing on his Facebook profile. That's how I found him and suggested him to come to Steem.
