Hi folks, fellow Hivers,

I'd like to draw the awareness a little bit further on a new upcoming project that I recently came across: Ragnarok Check out this introduction post by @ragnarok.game and supported by @theycallmedan among others.

The bottom line is, there will be a snapshot of everyone's HIVE wallet on January 6th 2022 and accordingly to that, you will be able to claim an airdrop of NFTs to play a game. Follow @ragnarok.game for more updates on this.

So, why am I excited about it?

It's a new game on the HIVE ecosystem and although my stake in HIVE is kind of low and I don't expect to get a lot out of the airdrop unless you upvote for me in the upcoming days like crazy 😎, every add-on to HIVE and the ecosystem is a win in the long-run. The game is even developped as open source, so if everything runs smoothly, we can even expect others to follow up with more content, which adds even more value to our community.

Second of all, I'm a fan of tales and myths. So getting content in this subject gets me interested - even without airdrops or gaming content.

We are promised to get well done art on the NFTs on top of everything. This really rounds it up for me.

What is Ragnarok?

I leave the HIVE blockchain content to those, who know more about it - really, read the well written article I pointed out earlier.

But let me fill in some background on the mythology:

Ragnarök, (Old Norse: “Doom of the Gods”), in Scandinavian mythology, the end of the world of gods and men. ... Giants and demons approaching from all points of the compass will attack the gods, who will meet them and face death like heroes.
While Ragnarok has not yet happened, according to Norse mythology it is inevitable and has already been set in motion by the series of events that surrounded the death Odin's son Balder. ... He was imprisoned in Asgard by the Norse gods using magical chains made by the dwarves.

So basically, we are up to the battle of battles between gods and titans what a treat!
