Conjunction is also one of the most important steps in the work of alchemy and also describes that different substances are connected to bring them into harmony and it is also associated with the union of dualities such as sun or moon, male and female and more. Through the consolidation and union of two substances it is possible to carry out further steps and the understanding is of great importance for both the spiritual and the practical of alchemy and one of the best known works where people can see this step is the the chymical wedding of the 17th century which is based on the author Christian Rosenkreuz or the union of Sol and Luna to fight the dragon together. Also in the union of the royal couple you will find this principle and without this it would not be possible to bring the child into the world and these old legends were a metaphor for different substances and so the dragon was also associated with the mercury and through the subsequent union it was possible to withdraw the moisture and Sol is also linked to the dry aspects and Luna with the wet ones. In the practical work of alchemy, the conjunction usually also describes the combination of the substances that were separated in the previous step separation and the understanding of the different steps is of great importance for the creation of the great work or the Philosopher's stone. In the alchemy it was also referred to as the fourth of the seven stages and also in other cultures such as in ancient China where alchemy had an important meaning, the understanding of the principle of duality was of enormous importance and also in various other cultures one finds traditions that bring out the importance.
