What's going on in your (indoor) garden, on your balcony, in your homestead or on your farm this month? Let us take a peek and maybe you'll win one of the prizes

Time Flies

I can hardly believe it: July has almost ended. It feels like it was only yesterday since I bought my first seedlings (after which they died from an unknown pest).

My own garden looks better than I could have ever dreamed of when the season just started. I actually wanted to get a post up about it before I published this July-edition of the contest, but I'm running out of time if I want to get the challenge up before the end of the month.

I'll have to postpone my own post again, and save it for another day. (I have been doing so for three weeks now, lol. Since everything grows so fast at the moment, I always have to make new pictures every time I postpone my post.)

I'm pretty sure your crops or plants are growing at the same speed as mine, so I'm really curious to see your garden journal updates!

So, once again, I welcome you to the SteemIt Community Garden Journal Challenge, which encourages you to share your monthly (indoor) garden/balcony/homestead updates with your fellow Steemians and create your own garden journal.

A Shoutout To Our Previous Contributors.

We've had different gardeners joining this challenge in every edition. The participants' base follows the seasons in the different parts of the world.

Last edition, we could enjoy the garden updates of

@hotflash, @rollxp, @travoved, @porters, @astrizak, @abitcoinskeptic, @riverfows, @leeart, @mdosev, @minismallholding, @erikah, @allyson19, @nelinoeva, @plantstoplanks, @ericburgoyne, @hans001, @bengy, @exator and @zekepickleman.

I’d like to thank them all for entering this challenge, and I'd like to invite them to post a new update.

This challenge is open for everyone who is growing any kind of plants or crops - indoors or outdoors.

If you haven’t joined before, feel free to start now. The more the merrier! There are plenty of people who are enjoying to see what's going on in other people's garden, farm or balcony. That includes me too. Watching all these updates always puts a smile on my face.

Show us how your plants, herbs, flowers, succulents or vegetables are doing. Share what you’ve been doing in your garden, on your farm or on your balcony. Don't forget to let us know if you are dealing with things like fungus, caterpillars, aphids, and - even more important - hów you’re dealing with those.

In short, tell us the story of your garden.

🏆 The Rewards

All entry posts will receive a 100% upvote from my personal account.

As an extra reward, I'll be setting up a @steem-bounty in the comments section. Everyone who posts a comment that includes a link to a valid entry will get a small upvote from me and thus a share of that bounty when this post reaches payout.

🏆 The Winners

When this post reaches payout, I will select the two entries that I liked most.

I’ll reward the top 2 posts with a 3 SBD prize.

Just like last month, I will also give out 4 SBI shares: 2 randomly chosen entries will get 2 SBI shares each!!

Prizes will be given out once I get the winners post up, which will be after this post has reached payout. Make sure you submit your entry before that time.

DISCLAIMER: I know I'm always late publishing the winners' announcement. This probably won't be different this time, since I'm leaving to spend some time In France during or right after next weekend. I'll be following up, though. You can be sure of that. I just don't know how easy or how hard it will be to get the post up using only my phone. I'll be sure to keep you up-to-date!

Grab That Camera

Are you still reading? What are you waiting for? Grab that camera and go make some awesome pics of your (indoor) garden, your balcony or wherever you are growing your plants, herbs, flowers or crops.

Show off your green thumb, or the lack of it, and create another chapter in your very own garden journal for 2019.

I'll can't wait to see your updates!

Ok!!! Time to get on board! Share my garden update and check out everyone else's growing too! I will have to share my sister's garden! I got her started last year as you saw in my posts for this same contest a year ago. She's done so well!! Best of luck and lots of free time to you @simplymike to get your garden update out. It sounds like your garden us doing wonderfully after a bit of a rough start!! That's awesome!! Resteemed to get more participation.

I normally take a few photos during the month just to see how things are going. I sometimes also notice in the zoomed in photos that I missed something on a plant so it’s always nice to have photos to compare. I hope you find some time to get your own post out.

My tomato plant might just take over my area if I leave it unchecked. Things have been growing like crazy and I’ve been enjoying eating some of it as well.

Have a great rest of the week I hope everyone’s garden is going great. I’ll be back later to check in on some times when I have time. Love to see what people been up to.

Lol, I had the same thing happen to me with one of the tomato plants: I was too busy taking pics that I had completely missed a giant tomato had started to grow. I only noticed on the pictures :0)

Ya, I found a rotten tomato last week. It was growing right in the middle sitting on a V of a branch.

I'm only now coming across this post and challenge. I've been keeping a running series of my garden vegetable patch on my blogs. Hope you don't mind me dropping a few here? It's always great to share hints/tips and look forward to some feed back from you.

Don't think anything will be ready to harvest for another week. Never mind, always next time 😉

WAW.
Time to show the world how my garden looks like but before I do so, I'll like to arrange some things like the drainage system. It's getting bad because of too much rain

I finally have rain! I will go gather some photos and vegetables in a couple of days.
Thanks again for doing this!

Yey, rain! I'd give anything for a little of that at the moment... and looking at my garden, I think my plants would do too :0)

Great project to entice growing herbs in boxes or tubs for using in the kitchen @simplymike, I have set aside some seeds from fruits I must remember to take pics if they start to develop.

Not much going on. My tomato plants are growing slooow. Still not one single flower. One one apple left in the tree, hardly ate mulberries and berries. It is too hot. Who knows walnuts doing better.

I've been away for a lot of July but will be getting my entry in - such a good initiative and lovely to have a record of your garden and see other gardens from around the world!

Here's my entry for the garden journal. I'm enjoying reading all the contributions, although I'm fretting about my onions now - should I lift them or leave them? Luckily, we seem to be low on pests :)

Thanks, @pastoragus.
Because I left on holiday today, I didn't see your post in time to upvote it in order for you to get a share of the 'official' Steem-Bounty, but since you posted your entry before it paid out, I'll send your share straight to your wallet.
I'll try to get the winners' announcement post up tomorrow, or maybe the day after... :0)
