[CR] Dams? Never again!!
The food chain can take strong turns, sometimes prey develop defenses against its predators, not as crazy as in the drawing, but come on, it looks great.
I had always wanted to capture something like this, a group of adventurous rodents, brave willing to face everything, even hungry fat cats, a real struggle for survival.
Tools:
- Medibang Paint Pro
- Mouse
-Step 1:
With a few blurs, crazy lines on more crazy lines, I was able to get to what I call "final sketch", and that is that to get to him I did a few sketches earlier.
-Step 2:
In a lower layer, add the tones you consider appropriate for the scene, with a dark atmosphere and a colorful soda
-Step 3:
It's time to leave behind the lines, taking as a guide the base colors, in a new layer superimposed on the previous ones I painted a little better each of the characters.
-Step 4:
This is already looking better, in fact it is becoming more and more colorful and illuminated. Adjust the position of the mice, positioning them a little higher to give more prominence to the shadow of the cat.
-Step 5:
For the background, I drew a few lines with the intention of emulating a rocky floor and a wall made of bricks (yes, it doesn't look good yet). Also, finally draw correctly the flying mouse, which gained significantly after coloring it, is to highlight the lighting setting that applies, as it redraw properly the shadow of the cat and try to create some distortion where it reflected.
-Step 6:
Continuing with the shadow, apply a "Gaussian blur" to reduce its hardness. I added a lot of shine to the soda, contrasting it with the darkness of the background. Finally, I corrected the windows and the door, in addition, I added a little texture to both the bricks and the stones of the floor, all with the mode of fusion "overlay".
I'll leave you a little gif with the whole process in it, so you can better appreciate the step by step.

Hi hadley4,

Ooooh, thank you so much, guys.
Your imagination is hardcore dude. Who knows in an alternate world, these characters exist because they are fed up running from cats and other predators. They learned the art of survival and starts to protect their own.
Anyway, you have skills in doing the drawing. That is not an average piece of art. Good job.
Thank you very much for such a great comment, the theory of multiverse attracts me very much, sometimes makes me think that everything is possible
Que cool esta esto! buen trabajo @hadley4!!

¡Gracias @melooo182!
This is a very cute and funny drawing. Excellent work! Thanks a lot for sharing it!
Thank you sir!
This work was magnificent, yes I have seen some rodents on the platform these days! yours are great, the quality of the details is fantastic, great work \O,

I love your artwork. Seeing the process from rough sketch to finished product is very enlightening. It really helps you to appreciate each of the steps and take notice of the details. I didn't even realize the shadow of the menacing cat in the beginning. And the details in the brick and the floor really set off the scene. The characters just shout out "bravery". This was a very nice piece, and I really liked the gif at the end that brought it all together from beginning to end.
This kind of comments fill me with energy and encouragement to continue creating, knowing that someone takes note of the details that arise in the process impels me to describe it and expose it even more. Thanks blueeyes8960!
@hadley4 You are most welcome. Yes it's nice to know when your work is appreciated. Curation trails are nice and the votes are appreciated, but it's always nice to get a human comment from someone who clearly shows they enjoyed your work. Keep it up!

Just seeing your step-by-step process is both inspiring and intriguing. I really like the way, right from the first sketch, that you could "feel" the shadow of the cat imminent, and that you started your palette with some dark and gloomier colours. For some reason I can't but help think of that wonderful animated film, Ratatouille - a favourite of my little daughter for many years already. You have a great future in cartoon and animation. Do you work in the field?
Reading this:
and seeing 1 scroll below your awesome creation reminds me of Ratatouille the movie :P
You definitely have a huge talent. I would put the painting in my room :O
How long did it take you?
Congratulations @hadley4!

Cool work. It's always good to see the process and tools artists use.
Looks like a feisty mouse team cat must reckon with :)
The food chain can certainly has some flippings. Big predators have short memory, that's all
