Follow Friday: Onwards to 2022!

The News

And so 2021 draws to a close. It has been an eventful year for Hive with lots of new dapps. Hivefest was a great success with lots of people meeting up and attending the presentations. In addition the $HIVE price is up 1300% and was much higher for a time recently.

Prices

There are lots more people with Hive accounts, mainly thanks to @splinterlands, but many will not have looked at other dapps. They should be encouraged to socialise. Numbers of minnows, dolphins and orcas have fallen and we need them to recover to spread the rewards better.

We may gain more Splinterlands players as UK 'newspaper' The Sun featured it on their site as a way to make money. The article does not have a link, so some people may not actually get there. Those who do may need some support.

Next Year

I think lots more will be happening in 2022 including @ragnarok.game and @blocktunes.

What are you looking forward to on Hive next year?

Friday Followings

  • @ashtv recruited @letothehobbit last week and gamer @only1al this week. If we each brought in a couple of friends and kept them active then Hive would soon grow. If you have enough resource credits you can claim account creation tokens for free.
  • I would always recommend @the-bitcoin-dood who brought me to this blockchain. He has various interests apart from crypto that he is planning to post about more.
  • @dickturpin has done some posts about when he was a taxi driver and has moved on to when he worked for the National Health Service. His stories may not be suitable for a younger audience.
  • I will also mention some of my other Hive friends such as @slobberchops, @bozz, @revisesociology, @adetorrent, @sidekickmatt, @drwatson and @blewitt. I wish them all success in the coming year.

The End

This is a time of year to look back, but given the issues in the world it may be better to look forward and hope things improve. I think Hive will be changing more lives and I hope it stays fun.

Looking forward to an interesting 2022.
Price action right now looks a lot like 2017.
Who knows where this could go?
The new game could be massive for adoption but like you said. These new members don't seem to get involved on the social side?

Just keep building and growth may happen organically?

Happy new year to you too. It's hard to know where things will go, but we have a good base to build on with diverse dapps. We're not relying on just one thing. Some people will just be into games, but they need to know that one account gives them access to lots of them. We need to build the Hive brand.

I hope you have a really great year in 2022! I have a feeling some of the growth we have seen this past year will only be a fraction of what we see next year. It seems that Hive has finally found a support level that is more accurately matched to its value. 2022 could be the year we finally see an influx of users ready to post comment and curate.
