Will you wear rubber for a shoe? Purchasing rubber made shoes for my siblings

avatar

Hello Hive.

This is one of the many recycling for fabrics that I like so much. And to think that more is been done to mimic ever leather design to make rubber look more useful and acceptable instead of having it as a waste all around the environment.

Check out these beautiful designs for rubber made items.

These are shoes all made from pure rubber materials.

Deciding to purchase some cheap highly needed shoes for my siblings a neighbors whispered that I can opt for these before I get enough to money to purchase leather shoes.

I guess its okay to use rubber for an everyday life activity but some might feel not too comfortable to wear some cheap shoes to a big event

Wearing rubber shoes to event might place you in a poor peoples category or what you call a low class over there but does these really matter, won't it be nice for people to wear what they can afford and for neighbors to respect people no matter the class or category they belong.

I bought these three pairs, a lady's shoe for my girl and two pairs of rubber palm slippers for my two brothers.
They cost $2.4 each and amounts to 3000 naira which was $7.22.

From a distant look these are really beautiful and do not look like they were made from rubber.

The question now is will you be humble enough to wear rubber made shoes?.

I wear some but not out most days, I don't think they make your outfit look sophisticated.

As far as I'm concerned, I don't care what they are made of, and infact would prefer to wear something as comfortable as them, especially since they are using recycled material.

It is not about the price, it is about the comfort when wearing them, so good on you and noting to be ashamed of, but instead be proud of!

You are totally right. In fact. Rich people don't waste money with Expensive clothes.

I think we all need to use what is comfort and also best for environment.

Don't worry about others think about your shoes or clothes. Respect all of them equal.

Love your post! Tks for sharing.

Does it really matter that they are made of rubber, and have been recycled? Absolutely not! I would wear them like a badge of honor!

I wear the clogs to work, they are really popular here. They are comfortable and they slip on and off. Most people working in a hospital do wear them because they are comfortable. They look rubber, but, are actually a proprietary material from resin. The point is, even if they were just rubber, I would still wear them. For medical people, they buy them mainly because of how easy they are to clean and sterilize. Working in medicine exposes people to blood, urine, and other fluids that can easily stain clothes and footwear. ... Another reason is comfort.

Price doesn't matter and I hate going into debt, so we should wear what we like, but, also, wear what we can afford. Anyone who dares look down on another person for living within their means should be ashamed.

I think you are an amazing sister, buying for the younger kids in your family. I thought they looked nice on. I actually don't even see any reason to question it. You are the best, Monica. You are golden. Literally.

I want to thank you for being a part of the #MarketFriday Challenge. I have personally found there is always so much to learn about people, where they live, and how things are done in different parts of the world. For me, reaching out across the globe and learning about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, has been such a rewarding experience. We have become a melting pot of culture, but, it is still the rituals, festivals, food, architecture, even your language/languages that separate us... and what is normal for us? There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. We do differ in many ways, which makes us interesting and unique, but, there are many ways in which are so much alike.

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:

Rules of the Road to Join #MarketFriday!

  1. Go to the market, or anywhere that you pay money for a service.
    Take pictures! Be creative!
  2. Tell us a little bit about the market or the event. What brought you there? What did you buy? How much did it cost?
  3. Post the picture(s) Of course, you should tell a little bit about the ones you post
  4. Use the MarketFriday Community Platform to post #hive-196308 (this is not required, but appreciated)
    5. Drop the link into the MarketFriday comment section so I can find it
  5. Following me and reblogging the post so more see it would be appreciated !! Not a rule, just appreciated, more vision for more views on your posts!
    7. You must put #MarketFriday by @dswigle somewhere on your post. If you don't and someone reads it, there is nothing to tie #MarketFriday to that post.
  6. Please only one post each week. Believe it not, I run out of voting power if you put in many more than that.

As always, please remember! #MarketFriday loves you!
