Happy Summer Solstice =/= Raus zur Sommersonnenwende👹🍣🎎 Wonderful Japan ENG-GER

Summer solstice. The longest day of the year delays the sunset the most and thus initiates already now in June the time when the days are becoming shorter again. But I didn't want to deal with the latter today, I rather tried to take advantage of this special day.

Since it was bright longer than on all the other days of the year, I thought it was the perfect time to go outside and take a look at the world around us. No sooner said than done! We went out in the late afternoon and headed to the sea, which is fortunately not that far away, and made ourselves comfortable over there. The water is slowly getting warmer, and already invites you to swim. Probably and also hopefully this time of the year will now finally be rung in.

After we have had a little walk around and checked out the water, we had a little picnic on the beach. Outdoors it just tastes the best! There you have the biggest appetite, especially if you had such pleasant company like me. And around 7, when the some slowly started to sink into the sea, we knew we had done everything right on that great day.

Afterwards I picked up some garbage, it is unbelievable what is left carelessly and intentionally in nature by people here in Japan as well. In particular there are fireworks leftovers everywhere on the beach, as well as the usual plastic bottles and cans, and of course the remains of the last fast food fiesta. Two bags were quickly full and now join our household garbage.

I spare us photos of that, instead we rather look at the sunset. I had only my phone with me and left my camera at home. But perhaps this photo also manages to convey the pleasant mood that had accompanied us during our visit.

The beach will see us again soon, and then we will hopefully jump into the water as well. It is just about time, and I can hardly wait.

Sommersonnenwende. Der längste Tag des Jahres zögert den Sonnenuntergang am längsten hinaus und leitet damit bereits jetzt im Juni die Zeit ein, an der die Tage bereits wieder kürzer werden. Aber mit Letzterem wollte ich mich dann heute doch noch nicht beschäftigen, ich habe dann eher versucht, diesen besonderen Tag richtig auszunutzen.

Wenn es also schon länger hell ist, sollten wir doch unbedingt nach draußen und uns die Welt um uns herum so richtig ansehen. Gesagt, getan! Wir sind dann am späteren Nachmittag raus ans Meer, welches zum Glück nicht ganz so weit weg ist und haben es uns dort gemütlich gemacht. Das Wasser wird langsam wärmer, und lädt bereits zum baden ein. Wahrscheinlich und auch hoffentlich wird diese Zeit des Jahres jetzt endlich eingeläutet werden.

Nachdem wir uns ein wenig die Füße vertreten haben, haben wir uns am Strand noch ein kleines Picknick gegönnt. Draußen schmeckt es doch einfach am Besten! Dort hat man den größten Appetit, gerade wenn man solch angenehme Gesellschaft hatte wie ich. Und als dann gegen 19 Uhr die Sonne langsam begann, im Meer zu versinken, wussten wir, dass wir heute wieder alles richtig gemacht hatten.

Anschließend habe ich dann noch ein wenig Müll aufgesammelt, es ist unfassbar, was auch hier in Japan von den Menschen unachtsam und absichtlich in der Natur liegen gelassen wird. Insbesondere Feuerwerksreste findet man hier am Strand überall, dazu die üblichen Plasteflaschen und Dosen, und natürlich auch die Reste der letzten Fastfood-Fiesta. Zwei Tüten waren schnell voll und gesellen sich nun zu unserem Hausmüll.

Fotos davon erspare ich uns, dafür schauen wir uns lieber den Sonnenuntergang an. Ich hatte nur mein Phone dabei und meine Kamera daheim gelassen. Aber vielleicht schafft es dieses Foto auch, die angenehme Stimmung rüberzubringen, die uns während unseres Besuches begleitet hatte.

Der Strand sieht uns schon bald wieder, und dann geht es auch hoffentlich bald rein ins Wasser. Zeit wird es, und ich kann es kaum erwarten.
