Normally my compositions emerge music and lyrics simultaneously, as a joint process. I am not very given to musicalizing poems, however, here in Hive it happened on one occasion that I published a poem and the same day I saw that the theme of the Hive Open Mic that week was directly related, so I musicalized the poem and recorded it with the title of Decision.

For some time now I have been publishing a series of poems, written in a sonnet form of alexandrine verse, according to its structure in Spanish. This type of verse does not lend itself well to musicalization, as it is irregular. Perhaps for that very reason, I had been thinking for some time about the possibility of trying to set it to music.

When I saw this week's theme, " Hidden Love", I realized that this series of sonnets is about different forms of passion and I knew that one of them would fit. So I searched and found and set to music this one that talks about one of those loves that can't be made public.

This is my entry for the Hive Open Mic, week 93.

Yo noy muy dado a musicalizar poemas, sin embarglo acá en Hive sucedió en una ocasión que yo publiqué un poema y el mismo día vi que el tema del Hive Open Mic de esa semana estaba directamente relacionado, así que musicalicé el poema y lo grabé con el título de Decisión.

Desde hace algún tiempo he venido publicando una serie de poemas, escrito en forma de soneto de versos alejandrinos, según su estructura en español. Este tipo de poesía no se presta mucho para la musicalización, pues es irregular. Quizá por esa misma razón yo tenía tiempo pensando en la posibilidad de intentar ponerle música.

Al ver el tema de este semana, "Amor escondido", caí en cuenta que esta serrie de sonetos trata sobre distintas formas de pasión y sabía que alguno de ellos encajaría. Así que busqué y encontré y musicalicé este que habla sobre uno de esos amores que no se pueden hacer públicos.

En abrazo forjamos un fuego de pasión
Brazos ardientes fuerzan la máxima atracción
Y en concierto resuenan gemidos y murmullos

Corazones que laten potente en su refugio
Los cuerpos retozando en frenética lascivia
Solo el roce de piel a estas almas alivia
Y no existe el anhelo de buscar subterfugio

Nuestro sudor mitiga el ardiente frenesí
La excitación se torna en un cruel contrasentido
