Tonight // Sybille Baier cover // video

So I guess it's getting closer to 3 months now I've had my guitar and am almost always practising daily and loving it.

I stumbled across an artist called Sybille Baier last year, she is a german woman who made a folk album in the 70s and it never got released. In the early 2000s her son made copies for the whole family and gave a copy to a record producer. They ended up loving it and it got released at last.

I've always wanted to learn this song, I had a difficult time finding the correct tabs as they all seemed a bit off, I tortured @vachemorte to help me figure it out 😂 The original song is fingerpicked but I can only do it at about 50% speed on a good day so I have been practicing the unusual rhythm of the vocals with a simple strum pattern.

I have low confidence in my singing (esp. while playing an instrument at the same time) and it's something that I'd like to get better at. After recording many takes for this I have learned some things, I need to manage my breath much better as I sometimes run out on the longer phrases and sound deflated at the end. I will have to practice taking quick sips of breath at convenient times without huffing and puffing loudly LOL.
