Moving dead cars on a trailer, for fun and profit!
We got a call that two vehicles had to be moved Today! The first was an mid 70's 3/4 ton Ford F250 extended cab, the second was a 80 Camero with no engine.
The first was free, if we could move it; and the second would net $300 upon delivery. We decided to do both, because the cash would help fix the first one.
Here is the truck:
We need one like this, to pull the skid steer we are almost done repairing.
Inside looks like this:
Someone showed this truck a lot of love at one time.
She need a radio:
But not top priority, LOL! I will remove the extra wires, and tape it all off for safety before she get a battery.
She is so big, that she almost didn't fit on the trailer:
Both the tires touched the sides of the trailer, and hung over both ends. This is an 18 foot trailer!
We destroyed our come along loading this beast:
This was the hardest load out I've ever done on this trailer, and it's hauled many cars!
On the way to the auto hospital:
Moved it out to a friend's place so we can work on her at leisure...whatever that is....
You can see how much bigger she is than the half ton truck pulling her:
She is a beast for sure! With a 360 V-8 under the hood, and it's all there; and looks pretty good for a 45 year old truck.
In her hospital berth waiting for repair:
We had to unload her to load up the Camero.
We pulled her into place with an RZR:
It rolled easy, and the brakes still worked, but she was hard to steer with a partially flat front tire.
Here's where we pulled her out:
You can see the Camero next to the recently emptied spot!
Here's the Camero:
We got this one loaded too, but we ran out of light, after emptying the yard. As a direct result, it was left on the trailer to be unloaded in a few days.
This solved the problem with the house needing a clear yard! It was 103°F today, so this was very hard just because of the high temperatures. I must admit I'm glad the vehicles are both moved out of the yard!
Now, we got another project car....

Dear @smithlabs, sorry to jump in a bit off topic but may I ask you to support the HiveBuzz proposal?
It recently lost its funding, is struggling to get back above the HBD stabilizer proposal, and is in dire need of help.
You can support it on Peakd, Ecency, Hive.blog or using HiveSigner.
On behalf of The HiveBuzz team, thank you!
I delegated hive to them, they told me they didn't want it. They told me to follow this link instead, which didn't work; and it would cost me 'nothing'.
I like hivebuzz, but we are at an impasse....
👍😳😭🤕🙏
You can delegate HIVE to Hivebuzz if you want, but the process of supporting a proposal is not done through HP delegation.
Which link didn't work?
https://wallet.hive.blog/proposals won't work in my system in hive. Pasted into a browser, it brings up a large list, with no hivebuzz I could find.
So, should I leave the delegation intact, or cancel it?
That's the correct list. Here is how the Hivebuzz proposal looks like in the list

Gamification? I looked right past that as I'm not a gamer. I'll go look...

Cool cars!
Worth moving for sure! Too hot to work on yet, but they are safe now.
👍💗🤠🙏💙😳
Whenever I am old enough I want to fix up and modify old cars as well!
It is satisfying, to save one from the scrap heap! They thank us. by working hard for their upkeep....
💗👍🤠💙🤕💸😳
We used to have a truck just like that, but a little newer. Early 80s I think. It was a beast and we finally sold it for 600 bucks in 2007. It was $12000 new haha! I have noticed that these old trucks are in demand. You can fix that up nice and sell it.
We need it to pull 6200 pounds of skid steer....
But I know you're right, they are in demand!
👍💗🤠🙏💸🤕😳
It will definitely pull the skid steer!
Yes, it is a blessing; and will have no problem moving this beast!
👍💗💙🤕😁💸😆
As the saying goes, another man's trash is another man's treasure. These can easily go for several tens of thousands of dollars if brought back to life; The Ford is likely more valuable.
It was an easy decision, LOL! We needed a truck to pull the recently purchased skid steer, and this one shows up. Looks pretty good under the hood, so we'll see!
💗👍🤠💙🙏💸😳
Man, how lucky are you? lol
It'll need some work, but that's a blessing right there. Plus the interior is looking pretty snazzy.
True, someone loved this truck, it will look good again!
