Hello beautiful people

It is my pleasure to bring to you today in this beautiful community @diyhub my entry for the international honey bee contest, I hope you are all doing great out there just as I am right here.

Since the beginning of the contest, I have been thinking of how to participate in it but unfortunately, I was unable to get materials I needed, just today, I got an inspiration from a yellow fabric I came across in my bag and I Said to myself, instead of using the cardboard and other materials that most people are using, why don't I try using fabric to create my bee, then immediately, I started my creative process and I'm sure you will like the beautiful outcome.

Cutting and sewing process

The first thing I did was to sketch the bee on an interface, which was later transferred to the yellow piece of fabric I used.

I too the two pieces I cut out to the sewing machine to be sewn together, leaving an opening on the head for it to be turned inside out.

I pushed out all the sides and filled it with fiber to bring out the bee shape.

To make the antenna, I cut out a basic strip, folded it in two and sew together, I made two of it.

It was inserted on the head as I sew it up with my hand needle and thread.

I cut out some black pieces of fabric to make the black demacation and glue it on the bee with the help of my glue gum.

To make the wing, I drew out the shape of a wing and cut it out on my interfacing.

Finally, it was glued to the sides of the bee and this is the final outcome. I hope you like it.
