Happy Sunday beautiful people! Today I have imitated antique pottery in some cute kittens, I hope you like it..
I really appreciate beautiful antiques, if I could have them I would collect them, maybe one day I will take up that habit again in real life, for now, I just recreate it in a design.

Aprecio mucho las antigüedades bellas, si pudiera tenerlas las coleccionaría, tal vez un día vuelva a retomar ese hábito en la vida real, por ahora, tan solo lo recreo en un diseño.

Porcelain cats
The tiles inspired me a lot, that old porcelain, the one my mother had, those that are no longer seen but were beautiful, I remember them a lot in the homes of very wealthy friends, among my relatives, in showcases, I admired them, I liked to touch them, they were very smooth, and captured all my attention.
They bring me many memories, happy, fun and family moments, they make me take a deep breath, smile, feel grateful, I lived in the most wonderful times we could have, the 80's and 90's were the best of the best.
I always wanted to have some of those ceramic pieces when I had my home, but they don't make them anymore. I am however a collector of elephants, horses and Egyptian ornaments, whenever I see something around and can buy it I don't hesitate to do so. Too bad that many of my collections - the most expensive and beautiful ones - were stolen. But when I get my home back, I will start collecting again.
It is impressive this color palette, it is a single tone gradient and achieves this effect. It has been wonderful to recreate it, I thought for a moment that it would be easy since it is a single tone but it was really something complicated to adjust each color in its place, so drawing this took me a lot of time, time that I also dedicated to enjoy this wonderful journey, which I now share with you.

Gatitos de porcelana
Los azulejos me inspiraron mucho, esa porcelana antigua, la que tenía mi madre, esas que ya no se ven pero eran bellas, las recuerdo mucho en casas de amistades muy adineradas, entre mis familiares, en vitrinas, yo las admiraba, me gustaba tocarlas, eran muy lisas, y capturaban toda mi atención.
Me traen muchos recuerdos, gratos momentos alegres, divertidos y en familia, me hacen respirar profundo, sonreír, sentirme agradecida, viví en las épocas más maravillosas que pudimos tener, los 80's y 90's fueron lo mejor de lo mejor.
Siempre quise tener unas piezas de esas cerámicas cuando ya tuve mi hogar, pero ya no las hacen. Sin embargo soy coleccionista de elefantes, caballos y adornos egipcios, siempre que veo algo por ahí y puedo comprarlo no dudo en hacerlo. Lastima que muchas de mis colecciones - Las mas costosas y hermosas - Fueron robadas. Pero cuando vuelva a tener mi hogar, volveré a coleccionar.
Es impresionante esta paleta de colores, es un solo tono degradado y logra este efecto. Ha sido maravilloso recrearlo, pensé por un momento que sería fácil ya que es un solo tono pero realmente fue algo complicado ajustar cada color en su lugar, así que dibujar esto me tomó mucho tiempo, el tiempo que también me dediqué a disfrutar de este maravilloso viaje, que ahora comparto contigo.

I make my sketch, I really like those sad eyes that I drew to the skull. When I was a child in my notebooks I always drew those little Basset Hound dogs, with those long and sad eyes, with those super long ears, they were my favorites. Now, I recreate them in my own works, placing them in the skull seemed to me quite funny, in addition to them, I wanted to recreate some typical Mexican decorations in the skulls alluding to Catrina.
You can see messages in my design, the balance of life and death, joy, worry and sadness, innocence, fantasy, reality and how we can complicate our lives and tangle things, are thoughts embodied that make it even more personalized. My designs always keep hidden messages.
As for the next step... I made the lineart and then I complicated my life thinking about the places that would have color. All this always separately.

Realizo mi boceto, me gustan muchos esos ojos tristes que le dibujé a la calavera. Cuando era niña en mis cuadernos siempre dibujaba esos perritos de raza Basset Hound, con esos ojos largos y tristes, con esas orejas super largas, eran mis favoritas. En esos tiempos los cuadernos estampados con estos perritos estaban muy de moda - Gloriosos años 80's -90's) Ahora, los recreo en mis propias obras, colocarlos en la calavera me pareció bastante divertido, adicional a ellos, quise recrear algunas decoraciones típicas mexicanas en las calaveras aludiendo a Catrina.
Puedes ver mensajes en mi diseño, el equilibrio de la vida y la muerte, la alegría, la preocupación y la tristeza, la inocencia, la fantasía, la realidad y cómo podemos complicarnos la vida y enredar las cosas, son pensamientos plasmados que lo hacen personalizarlo aun más. Mis diseños siempre guardan mensajes ocultos.
En cuando al siguiente paso... Realicé el lineart y luego me compliqué la vida pensando los lugares que llevarían color. Todo esto siempre por separado.

Ha,ha,ha,ha! You can't appreciate this step, because the same colors come together, but I'll explain what I did: I opened the necessary folders for each image, each cat, the skull and the thread, they are filled with color in separate layers, inside a folder, you can't see it but there they are.
In the next step you will notice it and you will know the way I work this way, it is more comfortable, it gives me freedom. Notice, I have applied the details to the first kitten, all in an orderly way, without problems, without going out of the margins. Once the details of the first kitten are done, applying the same procedure to the other one will be easy.
In this step, I recreate those tender and playful eyes, I apply lights, stars, sparkles, glitter and airbrushing, I don't want my design to be seen in a single flat color, besides let's remember that the old ceramics, when it was taken to the fire, the colors dripped.

¡Ja,ja,ja! Tú no puedes apreciar este paso, porque los mismos colores se unen, pero te explicaré lo que hice: abrí las carpetas necesarias para cada imagen, cada gato, el cráneo y el hilo, están rellenos de color en capas separadas, dentro de una carpeta, no lo puedes ver pero allí están.
En el siguiente paso si lo notarás y sabrás la forma por la que trabajo así, es más cómodo, me da libertad. Fíjate, le he aplicado los detalles al primer gatito, todo de una forma ordenada, sin problemas, sin salirme de los márgenes. Una vez realizo los detalles del primer gatito, aplicar el mismo procedimiento al otro, será sencillo.
En este paso, recreo esos ojos tiernos y juguetones, aplico luces, estrellas, destellos, brillo y aerografía, no quiero que mi diseño se vea en un solo color plano, además recordemos que la cerámica antigua, cuando era llevada al fuego, los colores se escurrían.

The more I went on with my design the more I loved it. I repeat the same details in the next kitten.
It was time to dedicate my time and love to the skull, shading and light, I had drawn only two flowers, but it became necessary to add more details, more tattoo-like details.
Recreating the thread or yarn that the kittens play with was easy, it's amazing what just a few lines can change.
With this I finish my project, I hope you like it.

Mientras iba avanzando en mi diseño más lo amaba. Repito los mismos detalles en el siguiente gatito.
Era hora de dedicarle mi tiempo y amor a la calavera, sombreado y luz, había dibujado solo dos flores, pero se me hizo necesario agregar más detalles, más detalles de aspecto tatuaje.
Recrear el hilo o estambre con el que juegan los gatitos, fue sencillo, es impresionante lo que pueden cambiar tan solo unas líneas.
Con ello finalizo mi proyecto, espero que les guste.

El diseño, le quedo genial. Pero creo que la calavera se está preocupando de que los gatos traviesos, dejen el rollo de hilo y se decidan a jugar con él como pelota.
Recuerdo muy bien ese estilo de cerámica, en mi casa había un juego de esas, recuerdo que eras de las que más cuidaba mi mamá. Ilustración super hermosa con unos protagonistas adorables
