January 2022: Accumulating Again
We are having a mediocre month speaking in terms of HIVE price... also, H-E tokens are losing their value quite alarmingly. However, I believe that HIVE hit a good bottom at $0.79, although it is no guarantee that it can go lower.
Although lately I have focused on the accumulation of our beloved "stable" Coin HBD more than usual, as HIVE is below the dollar the strategy has changed a bit and I have returned to heavily accumulate both HIVE and some of the HE Tokens on which I am more interested since these have insanely low prices for their potential.
In other words, I have practically dedicated this month of January to Accumulation, and here I present to you how it has gone:
TOTAL HIVE POWER from AUTHOR and CURATION Rewards
I still have problems to have a good APR in terms of CURATION, my rewards in this aspect have been "regular" during this month of January, I have only been able to accumulate 91 HIVE POWER which represents 8.48% APR, however, I have done better with the AUTHOR Rewards where I have accumulated 128 HP (I do not count the HIVE that I have powered up).
The graph of the sum of the two presents an improvement with respect to the values of December 2021 with which I am quite happy.
In total, I have accumulated 219 HP just as AUTHOR and CURATION rewards...
Account Growth
Starting January with a total of 14042 HP ending with 14300 HP...
Not too much powered up but I am planning to do a big one tomorrow for the HIVE POWER UP DAY.
HBD Stake
Savings Account APR is still at 12% and I don't know for how long it will remain as it is now... for me, this is one of the most rewarding stable coins out there, however, it would be an exceptional one if we manage to make it even more "STABLE".
My stake here has increased heavily during December and also on January where I managed to stake 202$
Now that HIVE price is lower than a $, it is interesting to change a little bit the strategy, since a few days ago, I am prioritizing accumulating HIVE over HBD but I am still staking a smaller portion of my rewards in HBD savings.
H-E STAKE
As I have already said, the price of HE tokens has dropped dramatically and I am going to take the opportunity to accumulate some of them.
In particular LEO, POV, VYB and BXT but also CENT and SPORTS.
LEO is going through a rough patch but the development will catapult it back to where it should be, I have no doubts about it.
I think the other communities will do well in the future too, although we have to see what they offer in the medium term...

I just wonder when SPORTS will do better than it has been, one of the oldest tokens on HE but little to write home about it in terms of value and development, unless am unaware of what's taking place.

Yes, SPORTS is not developing anything as far as I know... this is a pity since the community is great
it would be a major blow if the HBD APR would be reduced without proper debate. As it is right now if you had 100k in savings you could earn 1k a month wihich would be super sweet for 0 effort :) it would be like having a salary without working

Great. I am not focusing on any other HE tokens except Leo. I started accumulating CTP and Sports but I did not continue. I think I will focus on Hive, Leo and BTC this year.

Maybe you are right
I have not seen growth with HE engine other than Leo since the day I joined. There are index tokens like BRO that remained steady which make sense as they are tapping on the best performing tokens within the ecosystem. I will not collect any other HE tokens without significant project activities.
I agree, I think community tokens have to develop always something to maintain the price at least
