Having a growth mentality.

Bear markets are for building.

That's what the experts tell us anyway.

It is going to give the whole industry a good clear out of a lot of shit.

Overhyped NFT's.
Over promised DEFI sites.
Overbought meme coins.

The stuff with no purpose, no development and no value.

You will know it as the process crash and the companies liquidate since there is no purpose or community to hold it up and help it to grow.

Luckily my time and money is in HIVE and LEO with a few terrible exceptions.

But who can resist a good meme coin in the bull run. Sometimes I just never learn.

But my main two are building non stop and that bodes well for the future.

THe bear market hasn't slowed anybody down and it even seems that the past couple of years of constant development are all coming together nicely right about now which is even better timing.

The only thing better than getting wins in for your business is doing it when everybody else is losing.

When all of the hype is gone and the news is so negative. A project that comes out with some wins looks even more impressive.

If your doing it while all of the crap projects are being hyped up then the real development might get lost in the noise but if you can do it against the tide then people will really sit up and take notice.

Build your own portfolio at the same time.

Youi don't need a business to build.

Your brand is your personal business.

And just like the projects that fall away, you will see a lot of crypto enthusiasts fall away as the prices drop.

This opens up great opportunities to increase your holdings.

You will definitely see it on hive when the prices drop. The users fade away.

They don't seem to understand how this all works.

The value might be down with the markets but the daily distribution of Hive remains the same.

If there are less people competing for the reward pool and less accounts giving out votes then that means a lot more for the rest of us.

Personally I'm delighted to earn even more rewards while others sleep on it.

All of the large accounts who are sitting on big wallets now are ones who stocked up when the prices were low.

They weren't buying Hive at $2 but their wallets look fairly good when it does get there.

This is the best opportunity for smaller accounts to become big, by staying active during the bear.

By building when prices are down.

Just like the businesses that will thrive in this period, these will be the users who will stand out even more for building when others are not.

At some stage all of these people will come flooding back to Hive and crypto. They will turn up and gaze at all of the people who chose to build their way through the bear market and who now have large accounts and great future prospects from their work.

Build now. Enjoy it later.

It's not even that hard to build your portfolio.

I'm going to be keeping it very simple during the bear market.

Play splinterlands and keep buying up more assets.

Write on Hive/Leo to earn more rewards.

Dollar cost back into Bitcoin from Fiat for the immediate future.

Three simple steps that should see me through the rest of the bear market and into a very lucrative future.

The only question is, how many other will do the same???

That's some pretty good advice to be honest.
I don't play Splinterlands, and never have really but you never know haha.
But all the rest: yeah, I'm doing just that.
Crypto being down just means that I have more time to focus on Hive posts, instead of getting a headache keeping an eye on my crypto.

Thanks for this! It was exactly what I needed for motivation haha.
I shared this on Listnerds :)

I agree with everything you say in this article; bear markets serve to purge everything that is useless in the markets, because all the projects that really do not have any real purpose or meaning behind them will simply disappear without a trace.

As for the others, it is also seems that I never learn, because I lost a lot of money at the beginning of this bearish cycle, for not being attentive to what was clearly coming. I invested in a lot of coins that were at the top of the market range and not taking into account that they were overbought; I did avoid some losses, but if I had been more vigilant, I could have gotten out on time, with no losses. But I guess it's all a learning, so I hope to do better next time, during the next bear cycle.

As for Hive, I am currently (and as I never was before), committed to the platform and project. I try to write every day, and also vote, comment and share other people's posts. All this, because I have finally understood (ironically, while most people are put off by the current bear market), that the value of Hive as a crypto, platform, and project is truly immeasurable, and that, as you rightly said; we need stay building now to enjoy later.

I really enjoyed reading your post, I found it very interesting. Thanks for sharing.

Some great advice. I've started playing Splinterlands and hope it will pay off more later.

Great read and advice here, I have been diving into the Hive ecosystem big time during the bear market. I got into Splinterlands myself in January just to try and understand more real life uses for crypto and it led me here. I am loving this community and how organic everything is. I'm still investing in some of my favorites MATIC, ADA, ATOM since everything is so cheap now, but Hive is now in my portfolio as well 🥳

I will continue to do the small steps of showing every day and doing what needs to be done. It may be slow but I believe it will pay off in the future when the prices do recover.

The best thing about the currency bear market is that we are still profiting from the rise of Hive as it remains an independent venture currency.

The most important thing for accounts is to be active and interactive on platform while contributing to increasing HP balances

Some good old fashioned cleaning up was due, good points. I like building too, more now since i didnt have that mindset originally.

Irrespective of the fact that our earnings have declined substantially, but yeah, it's the time to build.

Very good advice. Thanks for sharing your perspective. Many overhyped stuff gets their reality. Things that truly stand the test of such times will last.
