LeoFinance Weekly Development Update | Facebook Hive Lite Accounts Added, LeoMobile V0.6, xPOLYCUB Governance and pHBD
It's been an interesting week in crypto. A lot of whipsaw in the markets. The fun thing about LeoFinance development is that it continues at the same pace as always. We're moving fast and continuing to innovate on all fronts.

LeoInfra Update | Facebook Logins Added to LeoFinance.io!
We haven't yet put up an official announcement as we've been doing some live fire tests on LeoFinance.io but Facebook logins have now been integrated on LeoDesktop. Facebook Login was initiall built-in to LeoInfra for LeoMobile and now we've ported that feature to Desktop.
This is all part of the bigger picture that we're calling LeoMerge which is the convergence of our desktop and mobile UI framework. This merge will allow us to develop way more features on a much quicker timeline.
Our Goal with LeoDesktop and LeoMobile
Our entire mission as a Web3 ecosystem is to make it a seamless and enjoyable experience to find LeoFinance, sign up and become a part of our community. With the new Facebook sign up and login module, new users can use their Faceboook accounts to instantly create a Hive account and start creating content, upvoting and engaging in the comment sections of LeoFinance posts.
LeoDesktop is aimed at the content creator experience. During the LeoMerge process, you'll see some massive updates that gear LeoDesktop more and more toward content creation tools and guides. It will serve as an aid to LeoFinance content creators to create more and better content for LeoFinance.
LeoMobile is aimed at the content consumer experience. During the LeoMerge process, you'll see LeoMobile continuously become more and more friendly to people who want to sign up, sign in and read & curate content on their mobile device.

LeoMobile V0.6 | Share Posts, Tag Sorting, Bug Fixes
LeoMobile got an update this week that includes:
- Ability to copy link in the app and share it outside of the app
- Ability to share directly to social media
- Tag sorting in the Explore page
- Dozens of bug fixes
We've been focusing heavily on getting LeoMobile ready for its V1 debut on the IOS and Google Play App Stores.
V1 will include a wide range of features that we believe make it ready for prime time. Right now, we're building up those features and polishing them for final release.
V0.6 was released just 2 days ago and allows users to share content more easily. When you open a post in LeoMobile, you'll notice 2 new buttons near the upvote/downvote buttons. The first one copies a link (leofinance.io link) to your clipboard. From there you can paste that link to any website, text message, tweet, etc.
The second is a share to social media link. It will open the share module on your device and pre-fill the post title and link, making it easier than ever to share LeoFinance content.
Prior to V0.6, you could search on the LeoMobile application but the only search available was by Hive username. The new update allows you to also search tags on Hive.
This is a precursor to the finalized search module that will be released in V1 - allowing you to search by:
- Hive Username
- Hive Tag
- Full-Text Search
Full-text search works similarly to a Google Search and we've spent a long time developing it. As it stands, this essentially doesn't exist in any other Hive application and the functionality is beautiful.
Full-Text Search and Notifications are the final two key pieces that we're putting into place before releasing LeoMobile V1 into the official app stores (not testflight... official app stores).
xPOLYCUB Governance | First Proposal is Live, Vote Now!
We designed PolyCUB to have deep utility and intense scarcity. There will only ever be 7M POLYCUB out there in the world. Scarcity on its own is not enough to create an ever-expanding marketcap to see the POLYCUB token price go up. You also need deep levels of utility that make it important to buy POLYCUB and stake it.
xPOLYCUB governance is one of the core features we've built that give POLYCUB utility. Buying POLYCUB and staking it as xPOLYCUB does the following:
- Earns yield (basic DeFi feature at launch)
- Governance voting power (our newest feature, just launched yesterday)
- Collateralize it for loans (very sooniverse)
We believe there will be a curve-whale style governance war on PolyCUB. If you don't see this yet, get ready for all the new governance proposals on PolyCUB.
Up until this point, earning yield on CUB / POLYCUB has been largely passive. With governance in place, xPOLYCUB stake will determine how much yield you earn.
If you want to maximize your yield, you're going to have to get involved in xPOLYCUB governance. This is the key to the future of PolyCUB (and CUB when we port the feature over to BSC).
We are gamifying the process of earning yield and generating high levels of returns. Communities are being onboarded as token vaults on PolyCUB.com (similar to pHBD). These community tokens will have to vote on continuous proposals to keep yield flowing into their vaults.
If another community comes in, buys a bunch of POLYCUB, stakes it as xPOLYCUB and starts voting up their own proposals higher than another community, then the new community will generate more yield for their vault while the other community has to either watch their vault yield drop or buy up more xPOLYCUB to stake and earn yield.
pLEO and pHBD are the first communities (LeoFinance and Hive) to be onboarded into this mechanic.
Next is SPS (Splinterlands community).

pHBD Revenue | PolyCUB’s PoL Continues to Grow
pHBD has been performing well so far. We're seeing a continuous stream of HBD wrapped into pHBD and pooled with USDC to provide liquidity for pHBD-USDC.
Right now, the APY for staking pHBD-USDC is 61.67%. 3x as high as the native staking rewards for on-chain HBD Savings.
The key to mass adoption for HBD and the Hive ecosystem is having deep liquidity pools on the top blockchains. PolyCUB aims to solve this by building a $5M liquidity pool for pHBD-USDC. We're seeing a lot of HBD getting unstaked on-chain and migrated slowly over to pHBD-USDC.
We need to see more of this activity. When pHBD-USDC crosses $1M in liquidity, we'll have the sufficient depth to facilitate whales coming into the Hive ecosystem by buying up pHBD and either providing more liquidity to the pair or unwrapping to native HBD and staking it on-chain.
We need to open up the floodgates for HBD and less than a week after going live, pHBD-USDC is already the largest source of trading liquidity across any centralized or decentralized exchange for Hive-Backed Dollars.

This is great development.
The leofinance team is really working massively to dish out development and new update for its user. Web3 is the future to come.

LeoMerge is kind of a continuous development. We will call it "complete" when the frameworks are completely merged together and all of our devs are working on a singular code base.
With that in mind, LeoMerge has already happened, is happening in this moment and will continue to keep happening in the next.
It is past, present and future.
Though it does have an end date. Perhaps it is the embodiment of the sooniverse. The latest release of Facebook sign-ins for LeoDesktop was just one in a long line of LeoMerge integrations

The search functionality is something that we are all waiting for and I wonder when that will be available also on the leofinance.io website. Having a modular search function will allow it to be embedded in any project from the Leo Finance space.
Another thing that sparked my attention is the pHBD pool which is growing steadily. I think that while it won't happen overnight the pool participation will increase periodically and will become more appealing to whales which at some point will dive in.

I agree with you 100% on the pHBD-USDC pool. It’s growing slowly and steadily. We’ll keep seeing things pick up with time and attention. It’s going to be an exponential growth curve as liquidity is black hole deposited into the LP. I think we’ll see $500k by the beginning of May and likely $1M by the end of May

Haha well the other aspect of earning is something we need to add to the frontend. You are also earning 0.3% on every swap from the sushiswap AMM trading fee.

Actually LeoAds was great news and I thought it would trigger the LEO price. Since I was planning to buy LEO this month, I was a little nervous about the possibility of the price going up. I plan to put stickers on bus stops and walkways putting the access to hive, but I think the leofinance.io with the indication to enter with facebook or twitter is mpasp ractivo to attract the masses around here, I still have it but I think it's easier than bringing it directly to hive as hive if the barrier of entry if complicated proof of this is that many of my friends there have the accounts ventured.

This is just the goal and alas, the bottleneck to entry is gradually reduced.

I am wondering how you can make the landing page on LeoMobile to be a guide on how to navigate leoFinance or Hive. Maybe the FAQ page should be the landing page. This will help new users more.

In the sooniverse we are planning to add a tooltip system that resembles that of a video game.
For example, you'd login to LeoMobile for the first time and little pop-up windows would take you a long a "10 step" process, showing you the upvote buttons, the comment buttons, how to navigate LeoMobile, etc.

I really just started my leo journey so im limited in my ability to take part in defi, however i am building my cublife and lbi bags so i do earn a bit from that side of things.
One thing I wish is that you would put the app on fdroid so I won't have to deal with Google.

With the introduction of Facebook login and signup it makes even more sense now to market and push articles over on Facebook. Plus Facebook is mainly your older generation now as well who would have the capital to invest and get in on crypto.
I also have to say the addition of the decentralized stable coin HBD to a wrapped version of pHBD came a lot faster than I though when I hear soon haha

The pHBD idea was one of the best. It is also good to start the rollout of pHIVE.
Both are going to really help the Polycub platform since there are not a ton of places to access either.
Make Leofinance the defacto place to get both tokens in the DeFi world.

Hey Hey they are not that old they are about my age lol not the grandma and grandpa lol It's mostly upper 30's and 40's range on Facebook anymore. It's also mainly all business over there and not so much the general family vibe at least from what I've seen lately. I hardly use it anymore myself.

This week has been very exciting indeed and the excitement is increasing. It's great to see innovative updates to a user's needs.
The pHBD-USDC pool is increasing day by day, albeit slowly. Many whales are keeping a close eye on the potential in the pHBD-USDC liquidity pool. If the liquidity provided here increases, I believe that the entries will increase. So I think once it exceeds $1 million, the rate of participation will accelerate. The sooner the pool reaches $1 million, the better for us. I believe we are strong enough to achieve this.

I agree. We're seeing people tip-toe into the pHBD pool and I think that is just how things will go right now. It's the first capital that is the hardest to attract. In the long-run, attracting pHBD-USDC liquidity will be super easy

Great work underway, I do like the leo mobile dApp features and will make onboarding a lot easier and more accessible. FB sign up is good also as that appears to be a big market in general so linking directly in with systems and apps people already know will likely increase participation.
Ultimately it would be good to have Leo Finance as a store of knowledge where people check in often on the latest news and information. The ad revenue alone would support the platform grow.

It's one thing to begin a project,and it's another to work tirelessly to see such project grow.
Over the years I've seen several enthusiasm to begin a project but sooner and in most cases shortly after the projects kick starts, those behind it suddenly grows a cold feet, as well as several factors and things goes off the radar before long.
But I must really commend Leofinance team for their diehard efforts to this project alongside the Web3 project as well, and you guys have proven against all odds, that truly, it is difficult to defeat one who won't give up.

The social login is IMO the most improvement.
BTW, for another rev stream, leo should add services for other Hive dapps and for crypto in general.
Like make a BSC Token/ Matic and so on. I mean I'm sure a lot of people would love it. Take the fee in leo ( maybe 5000 LEO), and bam, the price goes sky high :)
