Arbitrum $LEO is Live | Finding the Best Option for our Listing on Maya Protocol
Hello, Lions! You might already know this if you're tuned into Inleo's news. If not, we're happy to announce that we're getting listed on Maya, not with Wrapped Leo, but with Arbitrum Leo!
In this clip:
- $LEO is live on Arbitrum
- Arbitrum Leo will be listed on Maya instead of Wrapped Leo
- Leo will be the token connecting other Hive assets with Maya
- In Version 109 (V109), Maya will be adding Arbitrum, and WLEO was going to be added at the same time but we changed it last minute
- Considering the fees, we took on the challenge and decided to add Leo to Arbitrum and use it instead of WLEO
- Leo will be the first Arbitrum token to be listed on the Maya protocol
- The new LeoDex UI will allow swaps from Hive to the tokens listed on Maya, Hive to Bitcoin with low fees
Introducing $LEO on Arbitrum—a game-changer set to be rolled out in the next Maya update (Version 109). We were on the brink of listing WLEO on Maya when we made a bold, last-minute pivot. Our decision was fueled by extensive testing, revealing that the gas and transaction fees associated with WLEO were too steep for our target audience. Given that our main audience consists of Hive users, it's crucial for us to support smaller transactions, and the low fees on Arbitrum enable us to do just that.
With the Maya protocol adding Arbitrum, $LEO is now the first Arbitrum token listed on the Maya protocol.
This development coincides with the launch of the new LeoDex UI, where you can effortlessly swap from Hive to a variety of tokens listed on Maya. It will be possible to trade from Hive to Bitcoin and beyond, all with minimal fees.
$LEO being listed on Maya represents a significant milestone for the entire Hive ecosystem, and we are not stopping there.

This is one of the most historical moments of Hive ecosystem since we will be able to prove that anyone can be a part of Hive and initiate transactions on a chain they prefer with a couple of clicks on Maya Protocol.
Arbitrum LEO is going to attract a lot attention with the SocialFi trend in crypto. Optimism, Arbitrum and zkSync are the best available options for a project to interact with.
