War Always Wastes Resources

War has been a topic on many of our minds of late, with the reports coming out of Ukraine, as if it's the only active war zone in the world, which is in fact not true. Wars have been raging for years many of them where NATO is the aggressor, if we have a look at active war zones in the world the top sites would actually be:

And these are only the ones with the high casuality rate or rather recorded one. Congo, Somalia and many countries here in Africa have had wars raging for years that extract value from these nations and allow the west to fund the military industrial complex.

When NATO's budgets are running low, you best be sure, theres going to be some regime changes going on in the 3rd world.

Now this isn't some whatboutism, I am just highlighting facts here. Loss of life in any large amounts is terrible, especially when its needless. I mean in my home of South Africa, the average murder rate is like 57 people a day, which is more than most war zones.

I don't know how we haven't declared a state of emergency because of that fact, but hey I don't govern this place I just live here.

War is a wealth transfer

War has always been about wealth transfer, I came in I beat you over your head and take your land and loot, its a tale as old as time.

This hasn't changed, it just got a little more complex, but the fact is while countries wage war, they're taking tax money and inflation from citizens and funding companies to provide military resources.

This is a waelth transfer to these shareholders, these staff, these resources and a missaloaction as war spending doesn't do anything to improve economies, its a negative economic outcome. Jobs, manufactering and more are destoryed and disrupted and the time wasted can never be returned.

Bitcoin and war

Now I've ready so many think pieces about how bitcoin's limited supply would help curb war, slow down war, make it less profitbale and to an extent I can agree with it. If we were on a bitcoin standard perhaps it could but even then we saw that on the gold sandard governments would simply increase the money multiplier to continue waging wars.

Bitcoin is apolitical money in the hands of people who can do what they want with it. We've seen tonnes of bitcoin flowing to the Ukrainain governmnet, to humanitarian aid and to individuals as well as a few scams masquerading as aid funds.

Now I am totally for helping people and providing aid, but we can see many people were willing to fund active war, so can bitcoin really stop war when people are willing to give money to keep it going?

Wars are won on resources, the more you can drain resources the shorter it will be, but if you're funding it, you're asking to extend it.

You're funding economic decline, you're funding destorying more property, lives and more. perhaps your intentions are of a positive manner, but sometimes our actions contradict it.
