Hoy les vengo a contar parte de mi primera experiencia como mamá al quedarme con mi bebé hospitalizado en la clínica, los accidentes son impredecibles pueden ocurrir en cualquier momento y esto fue lo que aconteció con Harold un día lluvioso, al llegar a nuestra casa de pronto le dio por salir corriendo hacia la otra entrada y como el piso estaba resbaloso debido a las fuertes lluvias como todo niño e inocente de 4 años terminó dando vueltas en el piso y recibió un fuerte impacto en la cabeza.

Al principio se privó y comenzó a llorar, aunque también me asusté muchísimo mantuve la calma para que él supiera que todo estaría bajo control, inmediatamente se le formó un bulto debido a un hematoma (el famoso chichón jajaja), pero de verdad que si llegué a asustarme un poco ya que un golpe en la cabeza no es cualquier cosa y hay que estar pendiente, tratarlo a tiempo, corrí e hice lo tradicional que fue colocarle una compresa de hielo y me comuniqué inmediatamente con su papá ya que estamos separados pero cuando se trata de cosas del niño seguimos siendo responsables como equipo para su bienestar.

Pasado el tiempo el niño seguía con mucho malestar y comencé a verlo un poco decaído así que lo llevamos enseguida a la clínica y le hicieron todos los estudios necesarios, como rayos x, llegó el traumatólogo el neurólogo, los resultados no fueron muy favorables ya que se encontró en un estudio que tuvo un contragolpe y que el niño podía convulsionar en cualquier momento, que debía quedarse bajo cuidados y observación absoluta toda la noche.🌙✨

El neurólogo me explicó que el golpe que recibió en la parte de atrás de la cabeza se le reflejó hacia adelante y le salió en los estudios una mancha blanca que debía ser tratada de inmediato para evitar que convulsione también a futuro cuando le dé fiebre entre otras cosas. Harold lloró mucho cuando le tomaron la vía para colocarle los debidos tratamientos pero gracias a Dios todo salió bien, él pasó su noche tranquilo aunque yo no me separé ni un segundo de su lado, siempre estuve pendiente!🥹❤‍🩹No me quedé dormida, lo que fue una noche un poco larga porque estaba completamente sola, su papá se fue a dormir a su automóvil pero de cierto modo muy a su manera estuvo allí, no soy quien para juzgar.

Al día siguiente no le retiraron la vía ya que nos dieron la orden de referirlo al hospital para otros estudios, al final de todo esto todo salió bien, él ya se encuentra estable y es un susto que no quisiera volver a pasar pero es inevitable estos pequeños accidentes con nuestros hijos, sobre todo cuando están en temprana edad, mi recomendación es que estén pendiente de que no se les escapen los niños cuando haya un clima así y vean que existe algún peligro donde puedan resbalarse.

Hay que hablarles mucho y me quedó esta experiencia para ser un poco más precavida, cuando salgamos y esté el tiempo así, no soltarlo nunca de la mano, eso sería lo primero! mantenerlo a mi lado a toda costa.

At the beginning he became very frightened and started to cry, although I was also very scared I kept calm so he knew that everything would be under control, immediately a lump formed due to a hematoma (the famous bump hahaha), but I really got a little scared because a blow to the head is not just anything and you have to be alert, I ran and did the traditional thing which was to put an ice pack on him and I immediately communicated with his dad since we are separated but when it comes to the child's things we are still responsible as a team for his well being.

After some time the child continued to feel very unwell and I began to see him a bit down, so we took him immediately to the clinic and he underwent all the necessary studies, such as x-rays, the traumatologist and neurologist arrived, the results were not very favorable since it was found in a study that he had a stroke and that the child could convulse at any time, and that he should remain under care and absolute observation all night.🌙✨

The neurologist explained to me that the blow he received in the back of his head was reflected in the front of his head and the studies showed a white spot that had to be treated immediately to prevent him from convulsing in the future when he gets a fever, among other things. Harold cried a lot when they took the IV to give him the proper treatments but thank God everything went well, he spent his night quietly although I did not leave his side for a second, I was always watching him!🥹❤‍🩹No I fell asleep, which was a bit of a long night because I was all alone, his dad went to sleep in his car but in a way he was there, I am not the one to judge.

The next day they did not remove the IV since they gave us the order to refer him to the hospital for other studies, at the end of all this everything went well, he is already stable and it is a scare that I would not want to happen again but it is inevitable these little accidents with our children, especially when they are at an early age, my recommendation is to be aware that children do not run away when there is a weather like this and see that there is some danger where they can slip.

You have to talk to them a lot and this experience has taught me to be a little more cautious, when we go out and the weather is like this, never let go of his hand, that would be the first thing! keep him by my side at all costs.
