Weekend Roblox And Gardening
Weekend Roblox And Gardening
This weekend was all about family fun time and jumping into the virtual world of Roblox with my 4 and 7 year old. Lil Bloke had been getting picked on by some older kids in the game Super Hero Tycoon. For those unfamiliar, Roblox is a gaming platform with countless games created by players themselves.
One of the standout titles for kids like mine is Super Hero Tycoon, a strategy building game where players design superhero bases, earn cash and engage in battles to protect their creations.
After hearing about the little bloke’s struggles in the game, I decided to create my own Roblox account and join him. Honestly, it’s been years since I gamed properly but nothing is more fun than online gaming with the kids.
The goal of the game is straightforward where claim a superhero base, upgrade it with various weapons and features and defend it from other players. Kids love the blend of creativity, competition and being surrounded by their favourite superhero themes.
However, like any online game Super Hero Tycoon has its fair share of competitive players sometimes a little too competitive for younger ones. Watching my son get frustrated was heart breaking, so I figured, why not jump in and play with him? Together, we claimed our tycoon and built an empire. With a bit of teamwork, he got his confidence back and had a blast using his upgraded superhero powers to fend off rivals.
This weekend reminded me how important it is to dive into your kids’ interests, even if it’s something as simple as a video game. My son lit up when I joined him in Roblox and it turned the experience from frustration to fun. Plus, I realized how creative these games can be, teaching problem solving and collaboration in ways I hadn’t expected.
The weekend wasn’t all screen time, though. We also had a few errands to run. A quick shopping trip turned into a mini adventure, with the kids picking out some essentials (and non-essentials!) while practicing their "superhero moves" in the aisles.
Back at home, it was time for yard work. Cutting the grass wasn’t nearly as exciting as Roblox, but I roped the kids into helping me tidy up the backyard. Even the 4 year-old got involved, picking up leaves and declaring himself the “yard boss.”
So once again, another weekend done and dusted with awesome childhood memories and we even got to fit in Wolverine and Deadpool which I did a write up on the other day.
How was your weekend?

You had a lot of fun with your kids playing interesting games and that's a great way to spend the weekend. They must have been happy having their dad play with them, especially your young son. Spending time as a family is always a joyful thing. Thanks for writing and happy Sunday.
Indeed we did, with the weather getting better it is great to get out and about but also play with the kids on the things they enjoy
My children also play that game, but I have never sat down with them to play it, I just supervise them while they play, but reading you, it seems to be a lot of fun and with it you have achieved better bonds with your children.
A team effort that turned out perfectly, greetings 🥰🤗
It is a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend as the kids love spending time with you doing things they love
Increíble como tienen planificado incluso hasta el momento de vivir un tiempo de jugar en familia, me recuerdan a un youtuber famoso como lo es Karin juega el cual también lo hace con su familia.
Thank you
