Path of Sette, Marostica, Vicenza - Discovering Italy with alequandro!

Hi everyone, despite the not so good weather these days, I decided to go and explore a bit in the province of Vicenza.
For this time I have decided to go to the hills of Marostica, not far from the castle which can be seen in the distance.

Ciao a tutti, nonostante il meteo non proprio bello di questi giorni, ho deciso di andare ad esplorare un po' nella provincia di Vicenza.
Per questa volta ho deciso di andare sulle colline di Marostica, non molto distante dal castello che si riesce a scorgere in lontananza.

I parked the car in the parking lot of a cemetery and to start the excursion I just followed the signs along the way.

Ho parcheggiato l'auto nel parcheggio di un cimitero e per iniziare l'escursione mi è bastato seguire le indicazioni lungo il percorso.

The path of seven is an ancient road that leads to the plateau of the seven municipalities or plateau of Asiago.

Il sentiero del sette è una antica via che conduce all'Altipiano dei Sette Comuni o Altopiano di Asiago.

The path begins immediately with a climb that allows you to quickly reach a beautiful view of the surroundings.

Il sentiero comincia subito con una salita che permette di raggiungere velocemente una bella vista sull'intorno.

It is a path frequented almost exclusively by the locals. I met people with ebikes and someone who trained by running.

E' un sentiero frequentato quasi esclusivamente dagli abitanti del luogo. Ho incontratato per sone con l'ebike e qualcuno che si allenava correndo.

There are many olive trees but also vineyards. Given the low traffic, it is the ideal place for cultivation.

Ci sono molti olivi ma anche vigneti. Visto il poco traffico, è il posto ideale per le coltivazioni.

After the first stretch, the climb is gentler and you walk with more serenity in contemplation of the landscape.

Dopo il primo tratto la salita è più dolce e si cammina con più serenità nella contemplazione del paesaggio.

As you go up there are fewer and fewer trees and the view of the landscape is ever wider and instills a sense of serenity.

The last stretch before arriving at Contrà Capitelli is almost flat, a truly relaxing walk.

At only 245 meters above sea level you can enjoy a beautiful view.

L'ultimo tratto prima di arrivare a Contrà Capitelli è quasi pianeggiante, veramente una passeggiata rilassante.

A soli 245 metri di altitudine si può godere di una bellissima vista.

Suddenly you see the bell tower of the Madonna di Capitelli church and you understand that the town isn't far away.

Ad un tratto si scorge il campanile della chiesa dell Madonna di Capitelli e si capisce che non manca molto al paese.

It is a late Baroque church from the eighteenth century.

The church is one of the buildings that delimit a space that has a lot of potential, it could be a nice little square, however it is currently a bit abandoned.

Si tratta di una chiesa tardo barocca del settecento.

La chiesa è uno degli edifici che delimitano uno spazio che ha molto potenziale, potrebbe essere una bella piazzetta, tuttavia attualmente è un po' in fase di abbandono.

The church however is well preserved.

The most interesting aspect of the path is the path that enters a landscape and a very sweet and colorful nature, between hills and small villages here and there.

I stopped at the church and then went back but I'm sure it's worth continuing and enjoying the rest of the Sette path as well.

La chiesa invece è ben conservata.

L'aspetto più interessante del sentiero è proprio il sentiero che si infila in un paesaggio e una natura molto dolce e colorata, tra colline e piccoli paesi qua e là.

Io mi sono fermato alla chiesa e poi sono tornato indietro ma sono sicuro che vale la pena proseguire e godere anche del resto del sentiero del Sette.
