Excursion in Nevegal, Province of Belluno - Discovering Italy with alequandro!

As I drove along the winding road, the picturesque beauty of Nevegal, in the Italian province of Belluno, opened up before me. The month of June had given its gentle touch to the landscape, painting it in vibrant shades of green and sprinkling it with delicate flowers. My destination was the Nevegal parking lot, where my excursion would begin.

Mentre percorrevo la strada tortuosa, la pittoresca bellezza del Nevegal, nella provincia italiana di Belluno, si è aperta davanti a me. Il mese di giugno aveva donato il suo tocco gentile al paesaggio, dipingendolo di vibranti sfumature di verde e cospargendolo di fiori delicati. La mia meta era il parcheggio del Nevegal, dove sarebbe iniziata la mia escursione.

Once parked, I found myself drawn to the warm and inviting atmosphere of the nearby Casera restaurant. Eager to savor the local flavours, I ordered their famous house dish. As I indulged in the rich flavors of the region, I couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation for the journey ahead.

Una volta parcheggiato, mi sono trovato attratto dall'atmosfera calda e invitante del vicino ristorante Casera. Desideroso di assaporare i sapori locali, ho ordinato il loro famoso piatto della casa. Mentre mi concedevo i ricchi sapori della regione, non potevo fare a meno di provare un senso di anticipazione per il viaggio che mi attendeva.

With renewed energy, I walk along the well-signposted path that leads to Col Vinsentin. The path meandered through a tapestry of alpine meadows, fringed with wildflowers in full bloom. Shades of purple, yellow and white created a breathtaking display, as if nature was celebrating the arrival of summer.

Con rinnovata energia mi incammino lungo il sentiero ben segnalato che porta verso il Col Vinsentin. Il sentiero serpeggiava attraverso un arazzo di prati alpini, ornato di fiori selvatici in piena fioritura. Sfumature di viola, giallo e bianco hanno creato uno spettacolo mozzafiato, come se la natura stesse festeggiando l'arrivo dell'estate.

As I continued down the road, the fragrance of the surrounding greenery engulfed me. The scent of pine mingled with the delicate aroma of wild herbs, creating an intoxicating scent that filled the air. I took a deep breath, allowing the fresh mountain air to invigorate my senses.

Mentre proseguivo lungo la strada, la fragranza della vegetazione circostante mi ha inghiottito. Il profumo del pino si mescolava al delicato aroma delle erbe selvatiche, creando un profumo inebriante che riempiva l'aria. Inspirai profondamente, permettendo all'aria fresca di montagna di rinvigorire i miei sensi.

Sebbene il mio obiettivo iniziale fosse quello di raggiungere la vetta del Col Vinsentin, l'ora tarda mi ha ricordato di prestare attenzione. Decisi invece di fermarmi in un punto panoramico, un punto panoramico che offriva una vista mozzafiato sullo scintillante Lago di Santa Croce. La vasta distesa di acqua turchese incastonata tra le dolci colline ha creato un panorama pittoresco che mi ha lasciato a bocca aperta.

Though my initial goal was to reach the summit of Col Vinsentin, the late hour reminded me to exercise caution. Instead, I decided to stop at a scenic point, a vantage spot that offered a breathtaking view of the glistening Lake of Santa Croce. The vast expanse of turquoise water nestled amidst the rolling hills created a picturesque panorama that left me in awe.

As the trail ascended, I couldn't help but marvel at the tranquil silence that enveloped the landscape. The only sounds were the gentle rustling of leaves, the distant chirping of birds, and the occasional soft breeze whispering through the trees. It was as if the mountains had cast a spell, urging me to embrace the serenity and find solace in their majestic presence.

Mentre il sentiero saliva, non potevo fare a meno di meravigliarmi del tranquillo silenzio che avvolgeva il paesaggio. Gli unici suoni erano il dolce fruscio delle foglie, il lontano cinguettio degli uccelli e l'occasionale lieve brezza che sussurrava tra gli alberi. Era come se le montagne avessero lanciato un incantesimo, spingendomi ad abbracciare la serenità e trovare conforto nella loro maestosa presenza.

Mentre sedevo lì, assorbendo la bellezza che mi circondava, non potevo fare a meno di riflettere sulle meraviglie della natura. Le montagne si ergevano alte, custodi silenziose di segreti mai raccontati, mentre i fiori vibranti e la vegetazione profumata sussurravano storie di resilienza e crescita. Era un promemoria dell'interconnessione di tutti gli esseri viventi e del potere del mondo naturale di affascinare e ispirare.

As I sat there, absorbing the beauty that surrounded me, I couldn't help but reflect on the wonders of nature. The mountains stood tall, silent guardians of secrets untold, while the vibrant flowers and fragrant vegetation whispered tales of resilience and growth. Reluctantly, I began my descent, knowing that the journey back was as much a part of the adventure as the ascent. With each step, I carried with me the memories of the sights, scents, and sounds that had accompanied me on this mountain excursion in Nevegal.

A malincuore, ho iniziato la mia discesa, sapendo che il viaggio di ritorno faceva parte dell'avventura tanto quanto la salita. Ad ogni passo portavo con me i ricordi delle immagini, dei profumi e dei suoni che mi avevano accompagnato in questa escursione in montagna nel Nevegal.

It was an experience that had ignited a deep appreciation for the magnificence of the Italian Alps and the profound beauty that can be found in the simplest of moments.

It was shortly before the parking lot and I notice this crow and decide to photograph it while being aware of the photographic limitations of my smartphone...

The tip of the tree, the sanctuary chosen by the crow, becomes a perch for contemplation. From this vantage point, he observes the world with piercing eyes, acutely aware of his surroundings. His gaze, a fascinating blend of curiosity and knowledge, seems to penetrate the depths of existence itself.

Mancava poco al parcheggio e mi accorgo di questo corvo e decido di fotografarlo pur consapevole dei limiti fotografici del mio smartphone...

La punta dell'albero, santuario prescelto dal corvo, diventa trespolo di contemplazione. Da questo punto di osservazione, osserva il mondo con occhi penetranti, profondamente consapevole di ciò che lo circonda. Il suo sguardo, un'affascinante miscela di curiosità e conoscenza, sembra penetrare nelle profondità dell'esistenza stessa.
