Half a Second - Freewrite

It would mean so much and take only a half a second to call or text your Mom, or that friend who just got out of the hospital. There are moments where a crossroads is reached and you step out of your own world and touch someone else.

It takes half a second to smile at the grumpy old man and open the door for him. It takes half a second to make your husband a cup of coffee or throw his dirty socks in the clothes basket.

It takes half a second to pray for that person on social media who asks for prayer for a new cancer diagnosis.

It takes half a second to stop and appreciate the sunshine. It takes even less time to appreciate the Creator of that sun.

Time is flying so swiftly by, take the next half a second to do that thing you're thinking of now.

That is very good advice. It will take a little longer than half a second, but I need to buy a get well card for my friend who just had surgery. Thanks for reminding me.
