Exploring Art
It's been quite a while since I've sat down to draw anything. I bought a lot of art supplies and was gifted more by my husband years ago, but for reasons unclear to me, they've been collecting dust.
Today I felt motivated to draw, so I dug out my tin of art pencils, a sketch pad, an eraser, and even an electric eraser I purchased from the Wish app a couple of years ago from the pile on top of my dresser top. I admit, I had to dust everything off.
For my subject, I chose a page from the daily calendar that my brother sent to me as a Christmas gift this year. I save each of the photographs of horses, and while I work on the phone providing customer service for a major health insurance provider, I enjoy looking at the horse photograph for the day.
As a young girl, I spent most days drawing, and more often than not, I'd draw horses. In high school, I took commercial art at a technical school. We were bused to the technical school a half hour away from our home high school. In all the years of drawing horses, I'd never drawn a horse from the front of the face. After sketching a while I concluded that it's not as easy as it looks.

I really should carve out time to practice. It seems there isn't time enough to pursue all that I would like to do. The four days off enabled be to try diamond painting and drawing. I find both rewarding.
