Nature Rescues
I still remember vividly
As though it happened yesterday
A group of 12 teenage girls
Bundled into the boat in chains
With 4 hefty men surrounding them all
They were victims
Yes.... victims of human trafficking
An the waterways became the illegal route to slavery
I can recall
My teenage friends
Two of them who were thrown into the river
Their carcasses buried deep in the ocean
They couldn't stand it
And breathe their last
Nature looked and saw
Nature wept
Nature swung into action
Nature became angry
The clouds moody and ready to cry out aloud
The storm took over
Swaying the boat to the east and north
So intense it was that the boat was anchored
Then our freedom came
Our rescuers defeated them
Buh not without a struggle though
We were on the safe side now
Safely on the victorious boat
Then it smiled again
The sky shinned brightly
The turbulent storm became silent
It had completed its mission
It was indeed successful
Nature had come to our rescue
And I'll forever remain grateful
What an intense and thought-provoking poem on the harrowing reality of human trafficking! Your firsthand narration of this experience makes it authentic. The rise of nature to free the girls reminds us we are not alone. This is not a situation I would wish on my enemies. Beautifully written. !LADY 🙂

Ohhhh.... thanks for the compliment
Nature had swing into action
At least nature became angry and came to the aid. Human traficking, slavery... Will it ever end?
