Writing help

  • A free app: Grammarly. A lot of us are not native English speakers and I am finding it a helpful app. It will underline spelling and grammar mistakes. Remember that it is not always right -especially if you use complex sentence structures. Here is the link

  • Remember The Most Dangerous Writing App. You set the time - 5 min - and start typing. Don’t stop!!! It will destroy what you wrote if you stop for more than 3 seconds - and backspace does not count as writing on the app. If you are prone to stop and think - this app forces you to keep going. You can make corrections after the 5 minutes are over.

  • A timer. Egg timer is a free tool you can use on your desktop to set a time. This is useful for our freewrites or if you want to work in blocks of time and then take a break. Here is the link

She looked happy every time her dad took her out to the park, I saw her excited face when she jumped, barked and wagged her tail excitedly. And it is that pets are like that, they show unconditional love for their masters, for those who care for them, they are their true companions, unconditional companions.

I like dogs, although I am more of a cat lover person, I want to say that the loyalty that animals have towards people is quite impressive. It is something in their nature that allows them to recognize if someone is friend or foe, or if they mean well or not. When an animal senses that someone is toxic or negative, they generally become very aggressive or alert. It happens with almost any animal, it is as if nature had incorporated into all of us that "I don't know what" that allows us to feel that something is not right with that person, animal or thing. It is a very interesting topic to talk about this in order to learn what are the roots of this mystery that makes some happy and gives others a warning message.

This is my 5 minute writing for today.
