Writing help

  • A free app: Grammarly. A lot of us are not native English speakers and I am finding it a helpful app. It will underline spelling and grammar mistakes. Remember that it is not always right -especially if you use complex sentence structures. Here is the link

  • Remember The Most Dangerous Writing App. You set the time - 5 min - and start typing. Don’t stop!!! It will destroy what you wrote if you stop for more than 3 seconds - and backspace does not count as writing on the app. If you are prone to stop and think - this app forces you to keep going. You can make corrections after the 5 minutes are over.

  • A timer. Egg timer is a free tool you can use on your desktop to set a time. This is useful for our freewrites or if you want to work in blocks of time and then take a break. Here is the link

I always start to think that it is better late than never to do things. Especially when it comes to decisions that are difficult to make, such as paying for repairs to clogged pipes or different household appliances.

It also applies to when I always postpone going to the dentist, because then I neglect myself and the least expected day I get toothaches, and I have a very bad night. I remember how many times I have had to overcome that situation, and it is not something that I like or find it pleasant to have to be doing.

The most recent time was about 2 years ago, and the pain assaulted me at night, I had no analgesic, not even a little liquor to put on my tooth and thus be able to bear the ineffable pain. I could not lie down because I felt the palpitations of my heart in the tooth!. It is a very unpleasant feeling.

I spent a terrible night, until the next day I ran to the dentist to take care of my case. I cleaned the cavity, he put a putty together with some anesthesia, and the pain disappeared.

Better late than never.
