Day One of My Staycation
Happy Friday, readers. The day has wound down and what a busy day it turned out to be.
I woke up around 8:20 and was in pain which keeps me awake at night. When I mentioned my pain to Jeff he said he would set an appointment with his chiropractor. He called and they set me an appointment for 10:00. Since I took off work until Wednesday, I quickly agreed.
We drove the hour to Erie and I experienced a measure of relief from treatment. I scheduled two visits for next week after work.
From the chiropractor's office, we drove to the optometrist. I requested a new set of lenses for my eyeglasses. I managed to scratch my lenses and I cannot stand any scratches in my line of sight. I'm grateful to have scratch insurance. The new lenses should be ready to pick up in a week.
Jeff took me to lunch at Panera Bread. Today I tried half of a Sweet Asian Chicken salad, which was delicious, and half of a turkey, bacon avocado sandwich.
My husband had business to attend to at the airport once he dropped me off home. I relaxed at home for a while after doing my Sword program exercises.
We drove the hour back to Erie to meet up with one of the grandchildren for dinner at a Chinese buffet and we had a nice visit and discussed their plans. I love seeing the grandchildren.
Back at home, we prepared potatoes, boiled earlier today, for German potato salad Jeff was making for my family reunion. The salad tastes tangy-sweet and amazing! I can't wait to see my brother, sister, grandkids, and all of my cousins and extended family tomorrow afternoon. I pray that weather cooperates. We have a thunderstorm currently.
