Woodland Photography Studies

Forest = Chaos
I said that a few days ago. And I also said that I will always again try to take pictures in the forest.

Wald = Chaos

Woodland Photography Studies
Šunikov vodni gaj . Slovenia

Past Saturday it was time again and I spent a couple of hours in one of my favorite forests at the Šunik watergrove / Šunikov vodni gaj in the Lepena valley in Slovenia.

Because today is Tuesday, I dedicate today's post to the #TreeTuesday by @old-guy-photos.

I love such mossy trees

❖ click the image for fullsize view ❖

There's not much to tell about the photos, except that I tried to find individual "objects" that somehow looked isolated.

In a beech forest, orange autumn leaves which still remained on the branches are quite suitable for such a purpose.

▲click the image for fullsize view▲

It was early morning and the low sun made the moss glow, which hung from the branches like long beards.

▲click the image for fullsize view▲

Even single dead trees, some of which have lost their bark and stand isolated between the other healthy trees, provide a nice photo motif.

I don't really like these blurred branches, which you can see in front of that barkless little tree, but after I wanted to take the photo that way, I couldn't avoid them.

❖ click the image for fullsize view ❖

Finally, a beech tree with its beautifully colored autumn leaves on the small branches around the trunk.

When I made this photo I had the sun behind me and you can see that it had snowed the day before.

Woodland photography is something completely different than photographing landscapes or waterfalls.

It takes a lot more time than I have to really capture a motif optimally on a photo. But I learn every time and I will definitely do it again 😊

I love to be in the woods, although it's so hard for me to photograph in a forest, but I am learning ;)
Thank you for your nice words and kind compliment @yuriy4, I really appreciate it 🙂

Low light, lots of shade, yet so much color, a tripod I would guess was a very real need. I loved all the hanging moss trees, it reminded me of all the Spanish moss on the oak trees in California.

Thanks a lot for your nice comment @bashadow, and you are right - without a tripod these photos wouldn't have been possible, because it was much too dark.
This moss is similar to the Spanish moss, but only short, although I have seen even longer moss hanging down from some trees in another forest near to this one.

Its mossy overgrowth reminds me of the Ente shepherds of the Tree of the Lord of the Rings book.🤗
It looks so ancient….
It's great to catch a tree with leaves and snow ..@johannpiber😊

This forest is not that old grown, but some parts look quite like from the Lord of the Rings scenes 😉

I love such trees too, and the more I photograph them the more I learn how to compose the photos ... in a few years I might be able to take such photos like my favorite woodland photographers do ;)

Mon Johann,
jeder fängt mal an.

Peter

Liebe Grüße 🙂

if you say you are learning to shoot in the forest... then, speaking about me, idk -- maybe I can do up to 30% of the beauty what you create.

ps. the dapp I use - eSteem - seems having some serious probles with steemit... or its steemit is having some problems, it all start looking a bit crazy and chaotic - I simply cant see the comments threads of the posts, and dont see the recent posts as well. I have to look up in the Chrome browser to see this your post... and others as well. god knows where it ends.

!BEER and !DERANGED $trdo 's -- and a cup of !COFFEEA. I like the images, but the light was not too convincing, it seems to me. rather ordinary images, then 'magical' and wow-ones, no?

Thank you very much @qwerrie, I really appreciate your kind words and compliments.

I'm using Firefox and Chrome and I don't have any issues with the Steemit frontend. To see the latest posts of someone you have to click on the tab "Posts" because the tab "Blog" shows all resteems and such. Only if the user resteems his own post it will appear there, and that's what I am doing. But I am switching more and more to SteemPeak and I use eSteem on my phone, although I like the simplicity of the Steemit frontend.

I wish you a great day my friend 🙂

sure, I am in the know of all that. eSteem app doesnt display some of the recent posts -- so I have to swap it to the Chrome browser to see them (and then I go Steempeak, too) just to see the posts, which is rediculous.

all I have in consolation, is !COFFEEA or !BEER - and some darjeeling tea with a spoon of honey :) but no proofpics attached. have a nice day!

I am sure it depends on which 'server' one uses in the settings. that I was told to tune in their discord channel. I changed it from one to another - one problem disappeared, another did appeared :) it always works that way (like a windows soft; "reserved for the new errors" )))

You may have mentioned that but I'm not sure. But that is a reasonable age to start thinking of retiring from this life. I would say "And begin your new one in heaven." but I won't talk about such things. lol.

No, you are kind and don't talk about such things, but I do and I would say ... in heaven or in another dimension or as a newborn or maybe as an animal - who know it for sure?

Hey you can't talk about spiritual things! The question is very easy to answer but I can't talk about such things without sounding like a dang preacher. lol.

All I can say is that the Bible is very easy to prove correct and our pets are also in heaven waiting for the Christians.

Hm, please don't mind, but in these times I need to be a bit stupid, because you have no idea how stupid people act here, and I can tell you they are realy stupid stupid.

So my stupid questions would be:
Do they have beer in heaven? I know i don't drink alcohol but angels don't get drunk, so I might want to drink beer again ;)
Is there also this mad dog we had when we were children, that ate my shoes and destroyed my beloved fountain pen?

A !BEER has to be cold and a !COFFEEA has to be hot to taste good and not !DERANGED 😉

lol...hey these are NOT stupid questions. Hilarious but not stupid! Any kind of drink that you will need or want I think will be in heaven but I assure you that you will have no need to get high or drunk, you will already be on cloud nine so to speak and so full of joy that you wouldn't be able to improve on that but if you want it for the taste I'm sure it is there.

You had a beloved fountain pen? lol. If he was a beloved pet then yes but he would probably behave himself there!

These are good news my friend - now I am even less scared by the virus ;)

Yes, at school we have used fountain pens to write and I loved to write with mine. This dog bit and ate everything, but it was not dangerous, just playing but annoying ;) If it is there then it would be cool if it would behave itself ;)
