On a Lovely Tuesday: New Fun Discoveries and the Pretty Castor Oil Plant and West Indian Lantana We Found on the Street
I didn't really know that there's a bakery in this part of Poblacion. That's why when I saw it, I told Mama about it, and then that's when I learned that it's been there for a long time now. And actually, I know the name of the bakery. When I heard the name from her, I was like, "Oh, it's here." Like, I didn't know that their location is in this part. This is actually the bakery where my big brother worked for a short time, that's before he moved to Lipa, Batangas. I knew their name, yes, but I am not that familiar with them much.

Seriously, there's still a lot of places, shops, and restaurants I haven't discovered in our town. As I found my room more appealing to me, going outside to explore some places doesn't interest me. Anyways, this bakery is one of the things I discovered. At least now I know where to buy bread if ever the nearby bakery in our area is closed. UwU. This one is a bit far from our home, but it's okay.

And their bread looks good too. And actually theirs are much bigger compared to the other bakery we know. Each piece of bread here now costs 5 pesos. Mama was supposed to buy pan de coco but changed it into that toasted bread. I forgot to take photos. Their pan de coco here looks really well baked, perfectly brown, which we prefer as it can really add flavor to the taste of the whole bread.

Anyways, aside from the bakery I discovered, I also discovered a new kind of plant, which we just saw while going back home. They are unique, and I think really beautiful. Most of them actually are like wild plants that grow in there. They are growing on the side of the road and have no owners or whatsoever. It's amazing how those plants just suddenly pop up in there and grow into a beautiful and interesting one. Just like this one, I thought this was just a wild plant and had no other important use, but whoa, I just learned something amazing today.

I tried searching it on Google through Google Lens, and it surprised me that this is actually the Castor Oil Plant, or Castor Bean, with a scientific name, Ricinus Communis. You know that one that can be used in human hair, you know, it can strengthen and moisturize the hair. I never really knew what castor oil plants looked like before, but now I know. And whoa, so we can also grow it in our yard if we want to. I mean, it's growing in here, so it is possible. And it's still green in here, but I think they can turn into reddish colors too.

Here's another one, it's a flower with different colors in it in one stem. Isn't it cool? The first time I saw it, I was like a little kid getting to see something amazing for the first time. Lol. And according to Google, it's called West Indian Lantana or Lantana Camara. And from the flowers and leaves to its roots, all of it has good benefits for the human body. Of course, that is for sure after a long process, to be able to use it as that. It's just cool, aside from its beautiful appearance, it can be something else too. What an amazing creation on this land (人 •͈ᴗ•͈).
Are you familiar with these plants, guys? Have you ever seen them in your area, or do you have them at home?

Haha, I am more a food lover (and know also quite some edible plants) than a flower expert but they look very beautiful and it's nice that in future you even may grow them in your own yard.
Ohhh, that's amazing if you know some then it'll be really useful for you too. Yeah, if we have seeds or what we can have them in our yard too. Hehe
I have seen the Lantana and it is really beautiful, those tiny flowers and three colors are a beauty that should be in every garden 😍 I want to buy one, but they are expensive here hahaha it makes a pretty big bush and is filled with those little flowers ❤️
Right? Wish we can also plant them in our yard. But our dog just love to mess in Mama's plant so its impossible to grow them now. And really they are expensive? Whoa, and here it is just growing in here 😲
In Indonesia it is called 'bunga tai ayam' (eng: chicken dung flower), thats wierd but the flower is very beautiful.
Chicken dung flower, that's really weird for a name 😂
It's funny how we locals are unaware of the changes in our community. I'm also like this in our town haha😂
Haha thats what happened if di palalabas ng bahay, lol. I love my room too much kasi eh. Uwu
I am ery much familiar with lantana. We used to make a bracelet out of it or even a mini flower crown ❤️. It's flower has holes in it where you can put thread to make bracelets and necklaces.❤️
Oh, yes, it has hole, its like Santan no. But I didn't do that here, I don't see this flower that often. It'll be good to make it as a bracelet of necklace coz of its different colors.
I saw some really beautiful wildflowers growing really well ❤️
You see it in your area?
Nice flower & nice moment
Oh hey, thanks ✨
