The Master Thief of Anber.
I had to steal a ledger that the hidden ones asked for and I started getting tutorials of avoiding detection from the guards and I eliminated the first enemy avoiding an open conflict. The funny and energetic life of Basim turned into a curse in a short time after they tried to steal something extraordinary from the Winter Palace. I'll talk about all that in this post.
I started knocking down the guards there after learning how I could do it and the easiest way was to get their attention by whistling, being hidden and knock them down avoiding any conflict and they can't alert the others in this way as well.
The ledger that I was there for was behind a locked door and Basim couldn't just break the door as there were guards around and beside, he was not so strong, not yet. I had to use the eagle vision to look around and I found the key into another room after taking down couple more guards.
I returned to Dervis after stealing the ledger and I found a lady assassin came to take the ledger. Basim was so fascinated of the assassin's that he asked the lady to contact him if she needs anything.
Dervis gave Basim his payment for the job and warned him to keep his head down and mouth shut if he want to keep working for Dervis as he didn't like the way Basim was talking to the assassin.
Nehal also mentioned Basim embarrassed himself there. Then Basim had a talk with a kid there.
Basim was going to the Winter Palace to do a bigger job for the hidden ones and Nehal didn't like this job but as Basim was going for it for sure, Nehal joined him and was showing him a way to get inside the palace.
We had to follow an alternative path and wait till nightfall as there will be less guards in the dark and the Caliph would be there too. Nehal mentioned it'd need some creativity to claim my prize.
We had to infiltrate the palace being undetected when it's full of guards but as Nehal knew a way in, I just kept following her looking for another entrance. We reached close but we needed a key to a door so I had to take down the guard holding the key though it was dangerous as there were other guards around.
Then we moved forward and we saw some masked men came to the Caliph to talk about the prize Basim was there for. The masked men were so strict about the prize that they even threatened the Caliph from checking out what it is.
After the masked men left, so did the Caliph, we went to take the prize where Basim broke the lock of the crest and checked the device he was there for. As soon as he touched it, something happened. It looked like some hologram came out of the device and there was an incident going on.
Before Basim could understand it properly, there came the Caliph and he started beating him as he threw the device on the floor. Nehal had nothing to do but killing the Caliph to save Basim.
Nehal didn't wait and escaped the place leaving me behind and I had to escape and return to the hideout now but there were guards on every steps so I had to do some parkour movements to escape them and Basim was relaxing after getting to the hideout.
There came the lady assassin who is named Roshan and she came to tell Basim that he can escape this place using the boat she prepared for him as his life was in danger there.
Basim went out to warn Dervis and the others and found guards were looking for him all over the town. After getting to the neighborhood, Basim found the kids were slaughtered and when Nehal came to calm him down, he blamed Nehal for this as she killed the Caliph.
The guards noticed Basim and Nehal there so they started chasing him and after bidding goodbye to Nehal forever, Basim started escaping them but he got caught reaching the dock where Roshan said there'd be a boat for him to escape this place.
When the guards were about to kill Basim, there came Roshan and saved him. The cinematic looked cool with the fighting of Roshan. Now Basim kept following Roshan in the cinematic as she climbed up on a big tower.
The guards also followed them up there. Roshan jumped off the tower, into the river suggesting Basim not to think but Basim was not so sure about it so it looked like he fell from the tower, didn't jump and drowned in the river water.

All the in-game screenshots are taken by me except for the game's logo that I collected from the internet.
There is a 'winter' palace in the middle of a desert? lol
Some of the screenshots are really beautiful. Such a visual masterpiece.
Yeah it sounds like no "ice" in Iceland and no "green" in Greenland, right? LOL.
Your post beautifully captures the intense and dramatic turn of Basim's journey. Roshan's rescue at the end sounds like a cinematic masterpiece and I guess Ubisoft is coming back to their charm with AC after all. I'm playing AC Rogue atm and I'm looking forward to try this one soon.
I'm hoping they're getting back. This one looks good so far, let's see how I like it in the future. Its great to hear you're on Rogue now, which is a good one.
