Archaeology Museum 2 / Arkeoloji Müzesi 2

Greetings everyone, how are you, I hope everything is fine. The weather has gotten quite cold in Istanbul. Yesterday I got wet because I didn't take the umbrella with me and today it took direct effect and I got sick. It is not advanced at the moment. I hope to recover soon. I recently shared the first part of the archaeology museum and today I will share the rest. The building of the other museum you see in the first picture. Don't you think it looks great? The view of the building is as beautiful as what is inside. When the view is impressive, one inevitably wonders about the interior.

Herkese selamlar, nasılsınız umarım her şey yolundadır. İstanbul'da havalar bayağı soğudu. Dün şemsiyeyi yanıma almadığım için ıslanmıştım bugün direk etkisini gösterdi ve hastalandım. Şu anda ileri seviyede değil. Umarım kısa sürede toparlarım. Yakın zamanda arkeoloji müzesinin ilk kısmını paylaşmıştım. Bugün kalan kısmı paylaşacağım. İlk resimde gördüğünüz diğer müzenin binası. Sizce de harika görünmüyor mu? Binanın görüntüsü en az içindekiler kadar güzel duruyor. Manzara etkileyeci olunca insan ister istemez iç kısmı da merak ediyor.

Since a large part of this section was under renovation, I had the opportunity to visit limited places. At the entrance, a beautiful plaque welcomes you on the right. It has undergone a wonderful process. To be honest, I couldn't understand what this plaque, which resembles a painting, wanted to tell or the message it wanted to give. It has a very complex structure. Maybe it is something very simple, but I didn't understand anything. Maybe @damla, who is interested in archaeology, has an idea about this.

Bu kısmın büyük bir alanı tadilatta olduğu için sınırlı yerleri gezme imkanım oldu. Girişte hemen sağda güzel bir levha sizi karşılıyor. Harika bir işlemden geçmiş. Açıkçası tabloyu andıran bu levhanın ne anlatmak istediğini ya da vermek istediği mesajı anlayamadım. Çok karmaşık bir yapısı var. Belki çok basit bir şeydir ama ben birşey anlamadım. Arkeolojiye ilgi duyan @damla'nın bu konuda belki bir fikri vardır.

Judging by the sword in his hand, I think they are knights in this picture. Or soldiers standing guard. The clothes also reinforce this idea. All this shows how much importance people living in the past attached to security.

Elindeki kılıca bakılırsa bu resimdekiler sanırım şövalye. Ya da nöbet tutan askerler. Elbiselerde aynı şekilde bu düşüncemi güçlendiriyor. Bütün bunlar geçmiş dönemde yaşayan insanların güvenliğe ne kadar önem verdiğini gösteriyor.

It's one of those artifacts that I can't make sense of. In the first place I visited, the artifacts usually had a description. But there is no description on these. Maybe it's because it's under renovation, I don't know. I was more interested in the engravings than what the artifact was. Especially the bull's head is very realistic. Based on this, maybe we can make different comments about the artifact. You can comment if you have any comments.

Anlamlandıramadığım eserlerden birisi. İlk gezdiğim yerde eserlerde genellikle açıklaması bulunuyordu. Ancak bunlarda herhangi bir açıklama yok. Belki de tadilatta olduğu içindir, bilmiyorum. Eserin ne olduğundan çok üzerindeki işlemeler dikkatimi çekti. Özellikle boğanın kafası çok gerçekçi. Buradan yola çıkarak belki eser hakkında farklı yorumlarda bulunabiliriz. Varsa yorumunuz belirtebilirsiniz.

In this picture there is a big bell. It was probably used in churches etc. in the past years. I tried to lift it to determine its weight but I was not successful. Even two people would have difficulty lifting it.

Bu resimdeki ise büyük bir zil bulunuyor. Muhtemelen geçmiş yıllarda kiliselerde vb. yerlerde kullanılmış. Ağırlığını tespit edebilmek için kaldırmaya çalıştım ancak başarılı olamadım. İki kişinin bile kaldırmakta zorlanacağı ağırlıkta.

This is one of those works of art that is pleasing to the eye. The lady sits on a chair and I think she is having a snack from the coffee table in front of her. Based on the work, we can have a little information about the food culture of that period. One of the things I am most curious about is the emergence of great works of art despite the lack of sufficient facilities centuries ago.

Göze hitap eden eserlerden birisi de bu sanat eseri. Bayan sandalyeye oturup önündeki sehpadan sanırım bir şeyler atıştırıyor. Eserden hareketle o dönemin yemek kültürü hakkında az da olsa bilgi sahibi olabiliriz. Benim en çok merak ettiğim konulardan birisi yüzyıllar önce imkanların yeterli olmamasına rağmen harika eserlerin ortaya çıkması.

Here is the sign that is the symbol of Christianity. I don't know what the letters on the sides stand for, but they are the same as some letters in the Turkish alphabet. The part with the symbol is surrounded by a circle.

Burada ise Hristiyanlığın sembolü olan işaret bulunuyor. Kenarlarındaki harfler neyi ifade ediyor bilmiyorum ama Türk alfabesindeki bazı harflerle aynı olanlar var. Sembolün bulunduğu kısım çemberle çevrilmiş.

This is one of the works that attracts attention. I think the people on the work are husband and wife or father and daughter. The fact that he holds her hand clearly expresses how important social life and family life were in ancient times.

Dikkat çeken eserlerden birisi de bu. Eserin üzerindeki kişiler sanırım karı-koca ya da baba- kız. Kızın elinden tutması sosyal hayatın, aile hayatının eski dönemlerde ne kadar önemli olduğunu açık bir şekilde ifade ediyor.

Based on this work, we can see that music culture existed undeniably in ancient times. The fact that the four figures have different musical instruments in their hands shows that music has a place in social life.

Bu eserden hareketle de eski dönemlerde müzik kültürünün yadsınamayacak ölçüde var olduğunu görebiliriz. Dört tane figürün elinde farklı müzik aletlerinin olması müziğin sosyal hayatta kendine yer bulduğunu görebiliriz.

The work has been subjected to many different processes. Although this situation strengthens the understanding of the work, it fascinates people with its appearance. Especially the animal figures on it are very remarkable. We can make some inferences about hunting. We can also make sense of the artifact based on the inscriptions on it.

Eser farklı birçok işleme tâbi tutulmuş. Bu durum eserin anlaşılabilmesini güçlendirse de görünümü itibariyle insanı büyülüyor. Özellikle üzerindeki hayvan figürleri çok dikkat çekici. Avcılık noktasında birtakım çıkarımlarda bulunabiliriz. Ayrıca üzerindeki yazılardan da hareketle eseri anlamlandırabiliriz.

After leaving the museum, I witnessed two cats fighting. No matter how I separated them, they kept fighting again. So I stopped intervening and took their pictures. I hope they are both alive now. 🙂

Müzeden çıktıktan sonra kavga eden iki kediye şahit oldum. Her ne kadar ayırsam da tekrar kavga etmeye devam ettiler. Ben de müdahale etmeyi bıraktım ve resimlerini çektim. Umarım şu an ikisi de hayattadır. 🙂
