Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - Tier list with common cards for Silver League from Rebellion Edition!

Welcome Guys!

teir list.png

In this post I just want to show the light on best cards for silver league in my opinion from Rebellion set. I use them a lot, I always trying to rent them, because I still not own them all in gold foil. Many players think that Rebellion is not that strong set as Chaos Legion and usually they use Rebellion cards as a fill, I think they are wrong. Many cards and mostly commons are really powerful and that's what I want to prove!

I will show you some cards from my collection first and then I will show you what cards I usually rent from the market, when I am preparing for brawl or gold foil tourney in silver.

I will show all the cards, then I will categorize them to specific tier list and at the end I will tell you what I think and what strategies are good, which makes some cards to above the rest.

Situation looks like now in Rebellion set there are 24 common cards from core and 1 promo cards still able to purchase from voucher shop. In this post I gonna talk about these 25 cards.

This is look from my collection page and now I gonna add tiers to these cards.

Let's start from the most common, which in my opinion are not the great. Of course they still can be played in specific ruleset and win many games, but definitely are not meta cards for this moment.

Tier D

image.png

Kha'zi Fire Mage is magic card, which can be used with fire splinter. In silver league have only 1 ability power, decent 4 speed, 1 armor and only 4 health. This card is for 4 mana, which is bad. For 4 mana I can have a lot better cards, witch more tanky stats or just in this case with more hp. Another problem with this card is that have scatter shot, so not deal many damage and to random unit. Maybe, if it can be playable with Cryptic with expose ability, then there be at least A tier, but with fire I not see many opportunities to play with this card. Maybe as a last card, because have a dodge and can be played versus sneak it can work, but cards with shield usually are better option.

image.png

Chaos Orc I don't remember, when I last played with this card, because I not own him and I barely rent him for a brawls. Maybe it looks not bad versus force field units with Tarsa as summoner, but still this card is not fast and not slow is just normal. Not have any resist, so is bad for a tank. Cost 6 mana and now even cards like Halfling Refugee are close to this hp, so using 6 mana for a tank with no resist is really bad choice. The only one use case, which I can see is attacking from any position ruleset and trying to just deal some damage from behind. Percing can help with that. Still D tier for me for this moment.

image.png

Chaos Lackey last card, which in my opinion should be in D tier. Have only 1 damage for 4 mana. Only 3 speed, but have true strike so will hit anyway. Dispel is nice, but still for low mana matches you looking for power spike. I barely play with this card, because in my opinion it can be good only as a support for dispel some martyrs. Neutral element is kind of good, can be played in many matches usually with neutral only. If you need a good card for fill your team, it can be good choice, because this card should be cheap at least. Should, but is not trading now for over 1$ per gf bcx :D

Ok let's go to more exciting part to Tier C.

Tier C

image.png

Skyspire Yak - This card open Tier C in my opinion. Is much better in high level get tank heal ability, but now we talk about Silver League, where without heal is not that strong. Have only 1 damage, can hit for 1 or more, when you have support with additional shield or when ruleset just give you more armor, then this card is quite well. 7 hp is not bad for card, which is suppose to be a tank. 4 mana fill well in ruleset for 4 mana only cards. Can be plaed with Tofu, because it's life element, so not that useless at all :D

image.png

Blackmoor Trickster - Card for only 3 mana, which is good. 6 hp, which is really decent, but have only 1 damage. Of course can hit flying units with snare, but when Tofu is spammed by many snare is not that needed at all. That's why I chose this card to C tier only. There is nothing unique about this card, ok can attack from first position, but when tank have shield still hit for 0.

splinterlands1 divider.png

Let's jump to Tier B, where cards are more useful and can be played not only as situational cards. Still not that good as Tier A or above, but still decent.

Tier B

image.png

Uludin Overseer - I can say this is great card really. Usually for back to basic ruleset, where all cards lose their abilities. Why? Because, have no resist only pure hp. This card have massive 14 hp and 7 armor. Only 1 speed, but this can be good for slow ruleset. 11 mana is kinda too much for this card, that's why is only in Tier B. I see this card in matches with lux vega immortalis or with Rathe. Good to take some damage and give you some time to your caster to take down enemy monsters.

image.png

Endless Ape - This card is similar to tank, which I described above, but is for less mana and can be played only with earth summoner. Is kinda meh, because have scavenger ability, which gives you more hp, when any unit dies during fight. Is not good for a tank, which can die as first, that's why this is kinda useless. Card without resist is just like training bag, get damage and dies. Tier B, because have some armor and many hp and can even hit for 2.

image.png

Aria Bandit - Not bad card with dodge for only 4 mana. Snipe not help at all, because not many monsters have this ability. 2 damage is not bad. Dodge is powerful for a tank, but this card have only 3 speed. You can use Aria Bandit for last or for first card to give your team some time. I use this card mostly in ranged ruleset and for low mana.

I think now is the time for Tier A with more frequently played cards for most ruleset.

splinterlands logo text2.png

Tier A

image.png

New Sskah Drudge - Very good card with true strike. Have 1 armor, 2 damage and 6 hp for 5 mana. You hate chaos agent or some fast units? There is not problem, this card always hits and can help you survive a little lonfer with some tanky stats.

image.png

Sultry Barmaid - This card is really good, but water element have really powerful cards, so not that much people playing with her. Ambush is great ability compared with stun and Cryptic or Possibilitus can really disable enemy tank. My favourite combo is with Chaos Legion reward card Coastal Sentry, because have knock out ability at level 10, but we are in silver so for that combo you need specific ruleset.

image.png

Nimbledook Ranger If you look at this card for the first time you will tell me that this is nothing special at all. Cost a lot 7 mana and have only 1 damage and snipe ability. Good thing and the most important this card have double strike, which is a game changer. Can be well played with two summoners with Tofu as a back healer with double triage or as dps with Squirell summoner. Double triage can give you a huge advantage in long matches, when you have tank with a lot hp and additional 1 dmg from Squirell can be traded for 2x2 dmg in one target, which can delete enemy monster. Sadly, but without these both summoners this card is like without spirit, not playable at all, that's why is only Tier A, many folks not have access to play with expensive summoners.

image.png

Mana Warden This is pretty new card in Splinterlands. Can be really good card with specific ruleset like equalizer or cards can attack from any position. Dwarf is the only one card in Splinterlands, which can give you additional shield at start of the battle. Can't be removed by dispel, which is really strong. He can't attack from second position, maybe this is even better i don't know not have any resists, so is really fragile one. Have 3 damage, which is a lot for a card for only 4 mana. Mostly played as a support to give shield to your tank.

image.png

Ujurak Mystic I think this card, can be played well with Obsidian, because have void. For low mana can be decent tank at the front of your team. Can be too placed somewhere in the middle of your team, just to protect your cards with less hp to get less damage from opportunity or snake. 2 armor is not bad for 4 mana 4 hp is quite decent with void.

image.png

Ahna-Chei Botanist Card for only 2 mana, which is really cool. Playable with death summoner, so Probably many use with Cryptic or Lorkus + some weapon training is a good strategy. Blind help a lot Lorkus, when He play versus ranged or ad monsters. have 5 speed and return fire. With eqalizer can be even tank in front line. Another use is just fill card with blind versus sneak team.

image.png

Mar Toren Seeker Really interesting card, which give you some options. You can play with this card as a tank and use phase and dodge in low mana matches or you can just put this card at the end of your team and pray for sneak team. With Keyla or Cryptic this card can just survive more, so it not that bad choice for many matches.

splinterlands1 divider.png

Ok now get ready for God Tier, the best cards for play with in Siler League in my opinion. These cards can be useful in most matches and can carry you in the way to become a champion!

God Tier

image.png

Chaos Read Guard If a card can survive a couple hits for Venka and your team not get trampled at first round it definitely deserve his place in God Tier! Just look at these stats. Only 1 attack and 1 speed, but have 4 armor and 6 hp with shield, which makes this card really tanky. It cost only 4 mana, so can be played in almost every match, when water element is playable. Very good card I recommend this!

image.png

Nimbledook Scout Just look at this beauty for only 2 mana! She give you inspire for whole team as long as she is with other monsters on the battlefield. 5 speed is really awesome and 5 hp for only 2 mana. Can be a tank in really really low mana matches, because have backfire ability, which return damage to attackers, when they miss. One of best card to play with weapon training, because is really fast and in champion have blast! If not played with weapon training, she is a good addition for your opportunity/sneak team, which can delete really fast your opponents, one of the best cards for low mana in the game!

image.png

Gobalano Soldier Card for 3 mana with 3 abilities? YEAH that's possible and when you have that great card, which I described before in your team with inspire ability this card is true monster. 2 damage with ambush, which means can attack before round 1 and another one hit after game start. The most important ability this card have is deleting enemies armor. Have ambush so attack first, then rest of your sneak team just follow and delete rest of your enemies. Isn't that cool? Yeah for sure, that's why this is in God Tier!.

When you see Gobalano Soldier and Nimbledook Scout in enemy team in low mana matches you know that you have serious problems! Watch out!

image.png

Daigendark Surveyor Another OP card I can say. The most powerful element in the game in my opinion - water. For only 2 mana, She ofer really much. Like a your girlfriend in early days in your relationship :D. Isn't that just amazing to have a card, which can be a single tank with reflect shield, she slow enemies have 7 hp for only 2 mana and decent 3 speed. This card almost always can find place in your team, because can be buffed well with weapon training. Daarg Deadblast can confirm that for sure. One of the best card in the game for this moment easy jump to God Tier.

image.png

Lurking Puffer Another OP card for only 2 mana. Can be played with Tofu, Immortalis or Obsidian wery vell. Have silence ability, which reduces enemies ability power. Corrosive ward can help you sometimes, when you play versus units with armor, which is repaired all the time like versus Mantaroth, but mostly this card is played with weapon training to deal some damage and as a support to reduce magic. This card offer very much for 2 mana and can be useful in almost everyteamcomp from low to high mana.

image.png

Albahoo Foreseter Another OP card. Tofu users like abuse this card, because they can just prepare for more scatter shot damage. Triage is really powerful skill, which heals your backline units. Return fire can help you deal some damage to your attacker and in that way you can kill some ranged units, which not really wanted to hit you! 5 hp is really a lot in silver and additional armor make this card really tanky. Can be played as well with weapon training, which makes this card really powerful.

image.png

Chaos Animator This is the last card in this Tier List, which have no damage and can be played with weapon training. Is really powerfull, because have two really useful abilities void and amplify. When you decide to just stronger your tank with reflect shield, this card can lead you to victory very easily. Can be a tank or a support with some damage from weapon training. 3 mana is not much for a card, which offer that much. Great addition for your teamcomp.

image.png

Meriput Magician Card with a heal. Really good with your powerful tanks, really good with Lily or Tofu. Sometimes I see teamcomp composed with 3 healers and is really hard to kill grim or rage with 3 heals. In my opinion card, which can heal your team and can take some hits, because have a shield this definitely is a God Tier!

image.png

Fenmoor Haunt Wow this card have sneak ability and have a void. I don't remember any other card with these two abilities. I usually use Fenmoor Haunt in the middle of my team, because when my tank dies from some magic damage, this card can stand some hits with void. Really good card for only 3 mana, played with other sneak units can deal really much damage. Death element now have option to play more with sneak!

image.png

Grimbardun Fighter When card have in name "Grim" you know that this is insta God tier. You don't want to mess with this card, especially, when you are Mantaroth user. First of all card for 9 mana, which is great, giant killer can't kill this card. Second have 3 damage, which is nice versus forcefield units, 7 hp is not bad with 2 armor can survive some damage. It counter well Mantaroth, because have corrosive ward ability, after few hits, Mantaroth will not use his armor anymore, which can lead your team to victory. Did I mention before that this card can stop Venka? If not that is really possible! So as you see Grimbardun Fighter can stop Mantaroth and Venka, definitely God Tier!

spl logo line.png

These were all cards in Rebellion core set + 1 promo 25 cards in total. I hope so that you like what I think about these cards, as you see many cards especially from God Tier are really powerful and can easy carry your team in Silver matches!

Nice breakdown! I don't have too many Rebellion cards yet but I'm looking forward to seeing how things shake out towards the end of the sale. If cards get cheap I think there is much to be explored within the Rebellion meta, especially in Modern Format once CL rotates out.
