Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge: Favorite Strategies - Renting cards during battle!

In this post i want to talk about my strategy for playing brawl. This is kinda interesting and require a lot of wisdom how to play properly in Splinterlands. As you know many people not own cards and only play with rented cards. Players have 48 hours to play brawl, so in that time window they can rent cards and mostly folks rent cards before even start brawl, which is good, but not always this strategy is enough to win battle in brawl. Why? Because sometimes you just know that you missing cards you need and when battle appear and you see the bans you know that you need rent another key card.

I give a good example from my last brawl in T5. Many top guilds ban Tofu summoner, when you play in their arena. Tofu is most powerful summoner for this moment, you can check market prices and you will see do big demand for this summoner, anyway sometimes you need to play with different summoner, but when you renting cards before brawl you have no idea what you gonna play. You just think ok I gonna play with op summoner and that will be enough to secure a win. Not always and you need be flexible about that. So this is a example on battle, which I will show you Guys.

That was really strong teamcomp against me! Good that there was silenced monster ruleset, so Quora did not have bloodlust ability. I still not own GF Quora after years of playing so I need to be just more aware of this pick in brawl versus me. Sometimes, if you know that your opponent can play this you just focus on how to counter this and trust me this can let you win more often that just blindy spam Quora in every match ;]

It was possible to win only because I decided to rent Chuul Jujinchi summoner.

These are the rulesets.

When you see silenced summoner's and mostly 2 colors playable I decided to play with Chuul just to be able to play with life and earth in the same time and safe 4 mana, because Tofu cost 7 mana. With additional 4 mana I was able to pick stronger team and be able to win this match!

I don't want to write poem about my game strategy, because it was really simple. Just summoner let me pick better cards for higher mana + I had good position of my cards. I know many people, who just go one step ahead. They simply rent whole team in brawl time. They have only like less than 3 min or whatever is time to sent a full team to rent full teamcomp. Only very very experienced players like jacekw and people who have tons of experience can lay on that strategy during brawl or live tournament. I need to admit that I am a fan of this strategy maybe not to rent full team, cuz sometimes are big delays on blockchain and transactions just stuck in que, but with my wisdom in silver league I can and I succesfully rent desired cards even, if these cards at the moment are really expensive to rent just to have a chance to be step ahead in next battle.

Let me know what do you think about that strategy. I can say this is high risk and high reward strategy, sometimes you fail, you run out of time or just be too stressful to think about best cards, but after years of playing this is something, which you should give at least a try to enhance you battle strategy!
