Einführung

Am 22. September hatten wir ein weiteres Swiss Hive Meeting.

Während des Treffens haben wir verschiedene Fakten über die Blockchain-Technologie, ihre Vorteile und was wirklich in der Welt all dieser verschiedenen Netzwerke vor sich geht, behandelt.

Um zu verdeutlichen, dass es nicht darauf ankommt, welche Blockchain man verwendet erklärte ich die Interoperabilität, Bridges und wie L2-Lösungen die gesamte Landschaft des web3 verändern werden. Ich habe auch kurz RSS3 erwähnt. RSS3 wird auch die Art und Weise verändern, wie wir Browserspiele, Social-Media-Plattformen und Next-Gen-Apps nutzen werden. Ebenfalls wurde erwähnt, dass sich dies unweigerlich durchsetzen wird, es sei denn, die Mehrheit möchte in den Feudalismus eines konzerneigenen Internets eingesperrt werden, in dem Sie nicht der einzige Verwalter Ihrer Daten sind.

Ich bezog mich auf die Tatsache, dass die Multichain-Hypothese mehr als nur eine Realität ist. In einer Welt, in der wir alle ähnliche Philosophien teilen, wenn es um Freiheit und Unabhängigkeit geht, sind solche Synergien sicher. In einer Welt, in der zentralisierte Architekturen der Vergangenheit angehören, ist es nur eine Frage der Zeit, bis bestimmte Protokolle florieren. Auf dem Gebiet wurde viel Arbeit bei verschiedenen Projekten bereits geleistet. Vielleicht fehlt aber einfach die Aufklärung ihrer Existenz.

Die Frage ist nicht, ob man die Masse der Nutzer da draußen erreicht, die in Anwendungen der Vier (Google, Apple, Facebook und Amazon) feststecken. Momentan sind dies Anwendungen die Korporationen gehören die Ihre Nutzer und ihre Informationen kontrollieren, manipulieren und sie zwingen, diesen Unternehmen zu vertrauen ihre Vermögen und ihre Daten ethisch korrekt zu verwahren. Eine andere Frage ist es ob die Finanzinstitutionen nicht zu den Entwicklungen von Google und Apple pay anpassen werden um bei ihren Nutzern vertrauen zu erwecken. Die eigentliche Frage ist vielmehr, wie lange diese Nutzer brauchen werden, um erkennen das es für beides eine bessere alternative gibt.

Wie damals, als einige Leute dachten, E-Mail sei nur ein Fax für den Computer, waren sie sich der Tragweite und des technologischen Wandels, den das Internet mit sich bringen würde, nicht bewusst. Jetzt erleben wir alle den Beginn einer Technologie, die so wichtig ist wie das Internet selbst. Da die Gateways dieser Protokolle bisher die anderen Datenfeeds in Ihrem Browser ähneln, ist es an der Zeit, unseren Geist für ein Universum an neuen Möglichkeiten zu öffnen die sich jenseits dessen entfaltet, was wir als greifbar empfinden. Glauben Sie mir, es ist greifbar und einfach zu benützen. Hive ist eines der besten Beispiele. Nämlich das sich hinter diesen Web3 Protokollen ein neues und besseres internet versteckt.

Ceramic Accounts

Es musste eine Möglichkeit für Entwickler geben, veränderbare datenbankähnliche Funktionen für dynamische Inhalte und Dateneinspeisungen zu haben. In einer Zukunft, in der unser Ruf im Web3, unsere Aktivität, die sogenannte ceramic Identity ist, werden wir durch nutzergenerierte Inhalte in unseren Interaktionen mit verschiedenen Blockchains agieren. Diese, auch wenn sie bloss Brücken sind, ermöglichen uns dynamische Anwendungsdaten zu tauschen.

Stellen Sie sich vor, Sie öffnen eine dezentrale Anwendung in Ihrem Browser und melden sich mit Metamask, Hive Keychain, einer BNB-Wallet oder sogar einem Solana-Phantom an. Bridges würden kettenübergreifende Transaktionen ermöglichen und ein Universum von interoperablen Blockchains überbrücken. Noch besser Sie loggen eifach mit Ihren bevorzugten stack ein.

Durch die Verwendung von IPFS, libp2p (in Rust geschrieben) und DIDs (dezentrale Identifikatoren) ist http://ceramic.network mit Rohspeicherprotokollen(raw storage protocols) kompatibel. Mit Daten, die in einem erlaubnisfreien, kettenübergreifenden Netzwerk existieren, würde dies eine wachsende Bibliothek von Identitäten und Datenströmen schaffen. Benutzer können ihren bevorzugten Stack verwenden.

Simpel erklärt wäre das wie wenn die bei einer bekannten Webseite mit Google, Facebook oder Ihrem E-mail einloggen.

RSS Feeds

Really Simple Syndication und die neue Standardisierung von RSS3 könnten das neue Standardprotokoll für Web3 werden. Podcasting 2.0 wird zu einem Ökosystem offener und interoperabler Anwendungen. Podcast 2.0 ist eine Initiative eines der Mitbegründer des Podcast-Mediums, die RSS nutzt, um gemeinsame Werte zu schaffen. Die Feeds von Podcasts werden hauptsächlich von Apple, Spotify und Amazon betrieben. Zensur wird ein Thema, ähnlich wie der Fall Alex Jones im Jahr 2018. 2020 startete Adam Curry das Projekt Podcasting 2.0. Die Konsequenz, dass App-Entwickler Inhalte auswählen können, die sie anderen vorziehen, könnte zu Unstimmigkeiten führen, wenn es um Zensur geht. mehr hier

Interoperability

Um ein Beispiel zu nennen: @coinlogic.online, Schöpfer von Hive List, hat verschiedene Plattformen wie Blocktunes aufgebaut, wo er die HBD to BSC Bridge nutzt. Mit der Entwicklung solcher Bridges stehen wir am Anfang einer Multichain-Herausforderung, um unsere Kräfte zu vereinen. Mit Projekten wie Evmos, die eine Delle in dem space machen, scheint das Cosmos-Ökosystem eine vielversprechende Gemeinschaft von eingefleischten Kryptopunks zu haben, die den Space lieben und die Einstellung haben, die florierende Idee eines Multiblockchain-Ökosystems zu pflegen. Mit @fbslo und seinen Bemühungen, Hive mit Ethereum zu verbinden, und anderen derartigen Initiativen kratzen wir an der Oberfläche einer Stimmung in unserer Gemeinschaft, die nicht auf solche Entwicklungen erpicht sind und nicht auf festgefahrenen Hivatismus abfahren.

Hive Neutralität

Einige auf hive sind darauf aus, alles auf ein Pferd zu setzen. Ich würde nicht sagen sie haben sich verschanzt. Wenn ja, wäre dies eine schlechte Sache? Die Einstellung das es bei uns auch möglich ist so etwas mit einem proposal zu schaffen ist ja existent. Es gibt viele unter uns, die hive immer noch als ihre Heimat betrachten, aber die Wichtigkeit sehen, auf dem laufenden zu bleiben. Es gibt keinen Grund, konservativ und rechthaberisch zu bleiben, wenn man schon so offen für die Blockchain ist? Schliesslich sind wir jetzt an der Stelle, wo diese Entwicklung an nächster Stelle sein sollte.

Bridges

Für Bridges muss es einen Bridge-Vertrag geben und Entwickler müssen sie bauen. ThorChain arbeitet an der Verbesserung der aktuellen Brückeninfrastrukturen, da sie nicht so sicher sind, wie die meisten von uns denken. Ein Beispiel für einen solchen Hack war der Hack des Ronin-Bridge-Protokolls im März 2022. Es gibt noch viel mehr Beispiele über solche hacks.

@leofinance hat eine Bridge für erlaubnisfreie Cross-Chain-Swaps für ETH zu BSC erstellt.

Wie bereits in früheren Beiträgen erwähnt, ist ETH zu einer Art Standard geworden, und viele haben sich in Unternehmungen gestürzt, um Blockchains EVM-kompatibel zu machen. Derzeit gibt es EVM-kompatible Blockchains wie: Binance Smart Chain, Fantom, Polygon, Avalanche, Cardano, Tron, Evmos, Arbitrum, Celo, Orbit Chain, Harmony, RSK, Gnosis Chain, XinFin, KCC, BOBA L2, OEC, Metadium, EWC, Moonbeam, Telos usw.

Da sich der Space weiter entwickeln wird und Blockchains immer skalierbarer werden, werden ZK Rollups, L2's und Cross-Chain kompatible Blockchains unweigerlich an Popularität gewinnen. Insbesondere inmitten des derzeitigen Wandels in der Infrastruktur und Architektur von Zahlungssystemen weltweit wird der Datenschutz bei diesen Änderungen im Mittelpunkt stehen und als wesentlich angesehen werden.

NFT's, Smart Contracts, Multichain Assets

Mit den bestehenden rechtlichen Rahmenbedingungen für die private Wertaufbewahrung und einer in verschiedenen Rechtsordnungen verfügbaren Compliance-Ebene treten wir in eine neue Epoche des Eigentums ein und werben für dezentrale digitale Vermögenswerte. Verschiedene Projekte wie http://mtpelerin.com sind damit beschäftigt, in neue Bereiche vorzudringen, da Kryptowährungen und Distributed-Ledger-Technologien sehr disruptiv sind. Selbst Privatkundenbankiers haben kaum eine andere Wahl, als sich dem ständigen Druck, den diese Technologien ausüben, anzupassen. Selbst sie müssen einen dezentraleren Ansatz für CBDCs wählen.

Wir können Immobilien, Anleihen, Aktien und Fonds legal in die Blockchain einbringen und dezentralisierte digitale Vermögenswerte auf nicht verwahrten Geldbörsen(Non custodial Wallets) erstellen. Core banking Software hat bereits APIs für Technologien entwickelt, die das Privatkundengeschäft stören, das sich von Legacy Systemen zur digitalen Welt wandelt. Mit großer Wahrscheinlichkeit werden all diese aktuellen Ereignisse nur noch mehr Interesse an dem wecken. Defi hat heute viel zu bieten und wird sich in dem Bereich noch viel mehr Aufmerksamkeit verschaffen als bisher. Nicht nur, weil die Mittelsmänner-Branchen schnell eingerostet sind. Mit Non-Custodial Wallets, die rapide On- und Off-Ramp-Lösungen anbieten, werden immer mehr auf solche Trends aufmerksam werden. Es bleibt die Frage, ob Verwahrstellen oder spezialisierte Finanzinstitute, die für die Erbringung von Wertpapierdienstleistungen zuständig sind, in einer Zukunft von Smart Contracts wirklich einen Vorteil haben werden. Was ist, wenn sich viele in ihre DEXs und NFT-Marktplätze mit z.B. Wallet connect auf l2 mit Non-Custodial Wallets (ihren privaten Schlüsseln) wie z.B. Metamask und Hive Keychain einloggen? Wird es diesen Wendepunkt geben? Wie bald? Die Zukunft hat uns an diesem Punkt und in diesem Bereich viel zu bieten. Vieles scheint für einige die dies lesen, ziemlich offensichtlich zu sein aber bei anderen leider weniger.

Nächstes Swiss Hive Meeting

Wir haben bereits ein Datum für den nächsten Swiss Hive Event mit dem Namen Swiss Hive Chillout mit Lo-Fi-Musik, Drinks, Snacks und einem Meet-and-Greet-Apéro am Freitag, den 28. Oktober 2022 geplant.

Im November planen wir ein kleines Lagerfeuer mit spezieller Beleuchtung, ein veganes Pot-Luck und ein Treffen von aussergewöhnlichen Menschen. Der Ort wird in einer Telegram-Gruppe und nur nach Bestehen einer kleinen Quiz-Sonderaufgabe bekannt gegeben. Ein sehr exklusiver Event, ist es die Idee von Lucid Anomalies die Vorreiter unserer Zeit einzuladen. Wir möchten eine besondere Gruppe von Menschen zum Netzwerken zusammenzubringen. Schlussfolgerungen

Der spekulative Aspekt von Crypto schreckt viele ab, die sich seiner technologischen Vorteile und der zukünftigen Anwendungsmöglichkeiten nicht bewusst sind. Während es für einige eine Extravaganz sein mag, wertvolle Zeit und Mühe darauf zu verwenden, solches Wissen ohne finanzielle Gewinne zu verbreiten, sehen wir es als unsere Pflicht an, die uninformierte Masse über diese riesige Welt zu informieren. Eine Welt, die weit aus mehr als nur die Zukunft des Finanzwesens darstellen könnte, sondern den größten Paradigmenwechsel in der Wirtschaftsgeschichte der Menschheit. Sie wird nicht nur die Art und Weise verändern, wie wir Werte kommunizieren und austauschen, und den Grenznutzen, den wir Produkten und Dienstleistungen zuschreiben, sondern auch die Art und Weise, wie diese auf dem Markt ihren Preis finden werden. Unbeschränkt! Die Art und Weise, wie wir in Zukunft Werte austauschen, wird auch unsere ethischen Massstäbe von subjektiven zu logischen und auf den Nutzen bezogenen Massstäben verändern, die uns ermutigen, Verantwortung für Ressourcen zu übernehmen. Dies auch nicht nur, weil sie knapp sind, sondern weil jetzt das Volk/Communities und ihre natürlichen Handlungen als Actors den Wert definiert.

Vom Groß- bis zum Einzelhandel, Produkte und Dienstleistungen, direkte Aufmerksamkeit und eine effizientere Umverteilung des durch Werte geschaffenen Wohlstands werden die Industrien der Mittelsmänner verdrängen. Mit Blockchain entfällt die Notwendigkeit eines vertrauenswürdigen Vermittlers. Die psychosozialen Auswirkungen werden sich entwickeln, da sich das Identitätsmanagement verbessern wird, um Transaktionen, soziales Ansehen und wie wir die verschiedenen Stacks verwalten. Indem man in der Lage ist, einem Ceramic Account mit Rich Identity zu Vertrauen wird eine Ausweitung jenseits einer Applikation möglich. Im Moment sind private Schlüssel noch auf technisch versierte Nutzer beschränkt. Die öffentliche Identität und der Ruf werden sich neu gestalten, sobald die Authentifizierung durch kettenübergreifende Identitäten möglich ist. Diese stapelspezifischen Identitäten, die über Anwendungsgrenzen hinweg gelten, klingen nach dem revolutionären Stoff von morgen. In einer Welt, in der die zukunftsorientierten Menschen mit dem Sinn für Datenschutz, KYCs vermeiden und ihre Privatsphäre bewahren möchten, ist die Freiheit des Wertes genauso wichtig wie die Freiheit der Information, als das Internet aufkam.

Introduction

On the 22^nd of September we had another Swiss Hive Meeting.

During the Meeting we covered various facts about Blockchain Technology, it's perks and what's truly going on in the world of all these different Networks.

Trying to bring closer to mind that it doesn't matter what blockchain one uses, but that interoperability, bridges and l2 solutions will change the entire landscape of web3, I briefly touched on RSS3. RSS3 will also change how we will use browser games, social media platforms, next-gen apps and I also mentioned how this is inevitably going to prevail unless anyone wants to be caged in the feudalism of a corporate owned internet where they aren't just custodian of your data.

I was referring to the fact that the multichain hypothesis is more than just becoming a reality. In a world where we all share similar philosophies when it comes to freedom and liberty, such synergies are certain. Entering a world where centralised architecture are a thing of the past, it's only a question of time with particular protocols to flourish. A lot of work has been done in the fields of various projects out there.

The question isn't if you reach the masses of users out there stuck in applications that control and manipulate users, their information and forces them to trust corporations to take ethical custody of their assets and data, but more how long it will take them to realise this.

Like when some people thought E-mail was just fax for the computer, they weren't aware of the implications and the technological shift the internet would provide. Now we're all experiencing the beginning of a technology that's as important as the internet itself. Because the gateways of these protocols are yet just other data feeds on your browser, it's time to open our minds to a universe that's unfolding beyond what we might deem tangible.

Ceramic Accounts

There needed to be a way for developers to have mutable database-like functions for dynamic content and data feeds. In a future where our reputation on the web3, our activity, the ceramic identity we create through user generated content in our interactions with various blockchains, even though bridges, allows for dynamic application data.

Imagine if you open a decentralised application on your browser and login with metamask, hive keychain, a BNB wallet or even a Solana phantom. Bridges would allow for cross chain transactions, bridging a universe of interoperable blockchains.

Using IPFS, libp2p(written in Rust), and DIDs(Decentralized identifiers) ceramic is compatible with raw storage protocols. With Data existing in permissionless cross-chain network, this would create a growing library of identities and data streams. Users can stick to their preferred stack

Built on top of open standards including IPFS, libp2p, and DIDs and compatible with any raw storage protocol like Filecoin or Arweave, all information stored on Ceramic exists within a permissionless cross-chain network that lets developers tap into an ever growing library of identities and data while using their preferred stack. This allows for open source decentralised networks to communicate with each other.

Simply explained, it would be like logging into a known website with Google, Facebook or your email, only with your decentralised Identity.

RSS Feeds and Podcast 2.0

Really Simple Syndication and the new standardisation of RSS3 could become the new standard protocol for Web3. Podcasting 2.0 is becoming an ecosystem of open and interoperable apps. Using RSS that create shared value, podcast 2.0 is an initiative by one of the co-creators of the podcast medium. The feeds of podcasts are operated mostly by apple, spotify and amazon. Censorship becomes an issue similar to the alex jones case back in 2018. 2020, Adam Curry launched the Podcasting 2.0 project. A consequence that app developers can choose content they'd like to favour over others might result in dissensions when it comes to censorship.more here

Interoperability

To give an example, @coinlogic.online, creator of Hive List, built various platforms like Blocktunes, where he makes use of the HBD to BSC Bridge. In the evolution of such bridges, we are at the dawn of a multichain challenge to unify our powers. With projects like Evmos making a dent, the Cosmos ecosystem seems to have a promising community of die hard cryptopunks with love for the space and an attitude of nurturing this thriving community of a multiple blockchain ecosystem. With @fbslo and his efforts to wrap Hive with Ethereum and other such initiatives, they scratch at the surface of a contemporary sentiment amongst blockchain enthusiasts. Some are more eager towards such developments rather than the few with bred-in-the-bone hivatism.

Hive Neutrality

Bent on betting all your bets on one horse, we have die hard believers in hive and that's not a bad thing? There are many among us that still consider hive as their main home, but see the importance of stying at pace with the current. The attitude that it is also possible to achieve something like this with a proposal exists. Hive does that! There's no need to stay conservative and opinionated if one is that open to blockchain already? Finally, we are now at a point where such developments should be next in place.

Bridges

We have seen many more initiatives by @brianoflondon, with the Hive to Lightning App. Check out how podcast 2.0 and how recurring payments for donations can be made possible. Do give this article a read.

For Bridges, there needs to be a Bridge contract and developers need to build them. ThorChain is working on improving the current bridge infrastructures as they aren't as secure as most of us think. An example for such a hack was the March 2022 Ronin Bridge protocol hack.There are many more examples of such hacks.

@leofinance created a bridge for Permissionless Cross-Chain Swaps for ETH to BSC.

Like mentioned in earlier posts, ETH has become somewhat of a standard and many have furthered into ventures to make blockchains EVM compatible. Currently there are EVM compatible blockchains such as: Binance Smart Chain, Fantom, Polygon, Avalanche, Cardano, Tron, Evmos, Arbitrum, Celo, Orbit Chain, Harmony, RSK, Gnosis Chain, XinFin, KCC, BOBA L2, OEC, Metadium, EWC, Moonbeam, Telos etc.

As the space will further evolve, and blockchains will become more scalable, ZK Rollups, L2's and cross chain compatible blockchains will inevitably gain popularity. Specially in the midst of the current transition in the infrastructure and architecture of payment systems globally, privacy will be spotlit and regarded as tectonic during these amendments.

NFT's, Smart Contracts, Multi Chain Assets

With existing legal frameworks to privately store value and a compliance layer available in various jurisdictions, we are entering a new epoch of ownership while adverting to decentralised digital assets. Various projects like http://mtpelerin.com are engaged in penetrating into new frontiers due to the very disruptive space of cryptocurrencies and distributed ledger technology. Even retail banker are left with very little choice but to adapt to the unvarying pressure created by such technologies. Even they have to take a more decentralised approach for CBDC's.

We can legally put real estate, bonds, shares and funds on the blockchain and create decentralised digital assets on non custodial wallets. Core banking software have already built API's for technologies that disrupt retail banking, which is changing from legacy to digital. With a matter great probability, all these current events will only sparked more interest towards what Defi has to offer and brings much more attention to the space. Not just because middle-men-industries are getting rusty pretty quick. With non-custodial wallets that offer fleety on and off ramp solutions, more masses will be catching on to such trends. The question will remain, if custodians or specialised financial institution responsible for providing securities services will really have an edge in the future. What if multitudes will log into their DEX's and NFT Market places with e.G. Wallet connect on l2 with non custodial wallets(their private keys) like e.g. Metamask and Hive Keychain? Will there be that tipping point? How soon? The future has much to offer to us at this point and in this space. A lot seems quite evident for anyone reading this to construe.

Next Hive Meeting

We already have a date for the next swiss hive event called Swiss Hive Chillout with some lo fi music, drinks, snacks and a meet and greet apéro on Friday, the 28^th of October 2022.

In November we are planing a little bonfire with special lighting, a vegan pot luck and a gathering of exceptional people. Conclusions

The speculative aspect of the space deters many who are unaware of it's technological advantages and the future aspect of it's use cases. While to some, it might remain an extravagance to expend valuable time and efforts to disperse such knowledge for pecuniary gains, we see it as our duty to inform the unacquainted with this vast world. A world that might represent much more than just the future of finance, but the biggest paradigm shift in human economic history. It wont just change the way we communicate and exchange value and the marginal utility we attribute to products and services, but also how these will find their prices in the market. Unconstrained! The way we will exchange value in the future will also drive our ethical standards from subjective to logical and related to utility that encourages us to take responsibility for resources and that not just because they are scarce.

From wholesales to retailers, products and services, direct attention, and more efficient redistribution of wealth created through value will freeze out middel-men industries. Blockchain eliminated the need for a trustworthy intermediary. The psycho-social implications will evolve as identity management will improve to manage transactions, social reputations and stacks in being able to attribute trust to a ceramic account with rich identity. Right now private keys are still considered restricted to tech-savy users. The public identity and reputation will refashion once authentication is made possible through cross-chain identities. These stack specific identities that will go across application boundaries sounds like the revolutionary stuff of tomorrow. In a world where most would like to avoid KYC's, maintain their privacy, freedom for value is of the utmost importance as much it was it was for information when the internet came up.
